About Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat - There's only one thing that beats a trip The Lakes and that's doing it in style in a luxury lodge with its own private hot tub! While no one can guarantee it won't rain when you visit Cumbra (sadly!) we can guarantee you'll have an amazing time in one of these ultra-stylish cabins, right in the middle of the most popular area of the Lake District.

User reviews - It's never easy knowing if a lodge you're booking is worth the cash but Keswick Reach Lodges were actually voted the 'Best in Britain' and currently holds a 9/10 on the review site Reevoo. And check out some of the reviews further down this page to help you decide if it's for you.

Onsite restaurant - There are tons of choices for where to eat during your stay, from the surrounding inns, pubs and restaurants (and all the goodies you load your car up with!) There's also Copper Fells Bar and Restaurant on the lodge grounds itself although it does get booked up so get in early before you arrive.

How about trying some of the incredible local produce available in Cumbria? The best part of a lodge holiday (apart from that feeling when you slip into your hot tub for the first time, is the freedom to eat in, cook out or try the local eateries.

Onsite spa - Treat yourself to a pampering session at the on-site spa facilities during your stay at Reach Lodge Retreat. You're also close to the historic  Keswick here, which is really the heart of the Lake District and a paradise for walkers, hikers and anyone who loves mucking about on the water!

Like everything at Keswick Reach, the hot tubs are spacious and luxurious, and are just for your use during your stay. Whether you're looking for a cost getaway for two, a good location for a group booking or the perfect base for your family holiday, this is one of the better lodges with hot tubs in the Lake District.

Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat Reviews

"We visit Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat every year and honestly, it never fails to impress us. The place is stunning, with plenty of space between the lodges so you dont feel crowded at all. Everything you need is right there in the lodges, which makes it feel like a real home away from home. This time around, we celebrated my dads 80th birthday and he was genuinely blown away by the luxury of the accommodation. He was so surprised! There were a few little issues, like the front door lock being a bit temperamental, but a quick call to maintenance sorted it out swiftly-they even came out at 11.30pm, which we really appreciated. One small concern was some uneven flooring in the kitchen and en suite-being pregnant and not able to see the floor clearly, I did trip once, but luckily no harm done. Also, I noticed a dusty, disused bobble left on the windowsill in the bathroom, which made us wonder how thorough the cleaning is, especially with Covid still around. Despite these tiny hiccups, we had a lovely break and are already looking forward to returning next year, especially with our new little one on the way!"
Emma - Sep 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge had all we needed for a chilled weekend. Can't wait to return!"
Oliver - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the experience, definitely worth it."
Alex - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our time here"
Harper - Aug 2020
"Our Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat review: Really enjoyed the stay, would recommend."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spacious and comfy."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Prices during summer are pretty steep everywhere, so nothing surprising there. The break itself was quite relaxing and gave us a real boost. Also, ALDI in Cockermouth is just a quick 20-minute drive, perfect for grabbing wine and snacks. Not bad at all!"
James - Aug 2020
"Really looking forward to visiting again soon, such a lovely place!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"The holiday was really lovely and we had a great time overall. A tiny play area for kids nearby could make it even better, though!"
Mark - Aug 2020
"Although we didn't dine in, the takeaway experience was smooth and the staff seemed friendly. We had a lovely holiday overall, especially given the current need to avoid crowds. Can't wait to visit again soon and enjoy it properly!"
James - Aug 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay here. Sharing the holiday with our daughter, her husband and the kids was lovely and our little dog loved it too. The lodges were super comfy and it was so peaceful. You barely saw anyone - just cars passing by. Perfect for relaxing!"
Martin - Aug 2020
"Great stay, highly recommend"
Rachel - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed it, didnt want to go!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Great spot for a family break"
Oliver - Aug 2020
"We had a brilliant time celebrating our 50th anniversary and this company really delivered. Everything was just as promised and were already planning to return soon. Thanks to everyone involved!"
Claire - Aug 2020
"Comfortable stay with friendly staff."
Alex - Aug 2020
"We had a lovely time in such a stunning spot. Already booked again for Yorkshire this October-can't wait to go back!"
Olivia - Aug 2020
"We stayed at the Wainwright Lodge, right by the pond with breathtaking views of the mountains and fields. The place was spotless and smelled super fresh, clearly deep-cleaned thoroughly. The beds were really comfy and the setting was just perfect for us. A bit of a bummer that some leisure facilities like the sauna, spa and family whirlpool were closed because of Covid restrictions, but understandable. We tried to use the big screen TV for some movies, but had trouble getting it to work-probably because too many devices were trying to connect at once. Honestly, it didnt matter much since we didnt watch much TV anyway. Overall, we had a lovely stay and definitely plan to return. Thanks for a great break!"
Amelia Hart - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, definitely planning to return soon!"
Lisa - Aug 2020
"We had a fantastic family break! The lodge was stunning and the park exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to return soon!"
James - Aug 2020
"The lodge was spotless when we arrived, super tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We didnt get to try the restaurant because it was shut because of COVID, but the food we ordered to the lodge was delicious and arrived really quickly. Wed stay again!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Great experience, the space was spotless and fully stocked. Would return!"
Emily - Aug 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely lodge! The only hiccup was the shower- it was way too hot at first, even on the coldest setting, so we had to wait until it cooled down. Also, the open bathroom design meant light and noise sometimes disturbed our sleep, but overall, it was a great experience!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Very relaxing stay, definitely planning to come back soon."
Emma - Jul 2020
"We really liked the lodge and the parks setting, but its a shame there arent any facilities on-site. Luckily, nearby towns have restaurants and bars open, so its not a big deal. Overall, a nice stay!"
James - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay! The place was super comfy and you could tell they put a lot of thought into the details. The bathroom was a highlight!"
Matt - Jul 2020
"We stayed at the lodge recently and it had pretty much everything we needed. Both bedrooms came with en-suite bathrooms, which was a real bonus for us. The place was cleaned by an outside company, but honestly, I wasnt sure what their deep cleaning involved. The floors didnt seem super clean and we noticed some food and drink splashes on a few kitchen cupboard doors. We brought antibacterial wipes and spray, so I gave the kitchen surfaces a quick wipe down just to be safe-better safe than sorry these days. Overall, it was decent and we felt comfortable enough for our stay. Would recommend!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Weve stayed here before and really like the lodge, but this time it was a bit dusty with cobwebs around. The bedroom light was faulty too. It would be great if there was a dedicated play area for kids, separate from the cars and lodges. Still a nice spot overall!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Beautiful views and a spotless lodge, we loved it!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"The lodge was absolutely lovely, really beautiful! The shower was a bit tricky to get just right and the extractor fans a bit too low, watch your head! Definitely a lovely stay overall."
Emma T. - Jul 2020
"Great place to stay. The lodge was lovely and spacious Beautiful surroundings. Lovely places to visit. Will definitely be back again."
Annette - Aug 2022
"Our 5th time here , would live here if we could ! Love the lodges , so peaceful and everything you need , staff are great , just a lovely chilled time .. we will be back soon ??"
Nicola - Aug 2022
"Very present stay, would definitely be back"
Ann - Aug 2022
"Lovely well kept site, staff friendly and beds very comfortable. Hot tub was relaxing and maintained at 40 degrees. Only minor complaint is the walls could do with a wipe down, as some stains!"
Jane - Aug 2022
"Lovely place. A bit isolated but great for a quiet, peaceful rest."
Angela - Aug 2022
"Our 3rd year staying at Keswick retreat and would definitely recommend it"
Andy - Aug 2022
"A lovely and peaceful site, very clean and tidy grounds and the Ruskin 2 lodge we had was very well equipped. The lodge had everything you will need and was excellent. Not really suitable for children as most facilities are for the adults and could benefit from a play area for children. Site is a bit isolated and that's why we chose it but make sure you bring all your supply needs. There is a small shop in reception which has most of your basics and prices are excellent."
Patrick - Aug 2022
"Little details made it even more special from the dog treat and toys and little rubber duck for the children. everything you needed down to the dishwasher tablets. The lodges were very clean and the location was breathtaking was literally 5stars and the staff was lovely"
Charlene - Aug 2022
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat. Delighted with our lodge."

Attractions Near Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 1 Mile
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 16 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 17 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 20 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Mabie Farm Park - DG2 8EZ
about 27 Miles
Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Seasonal activities can also be enjoyed including a spookly tea and walk on Haloween. The Farm closes for the winter on October 31st.
Castle Douglas - DG7 1TJ
about 32 Miles
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 37 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
