Was great that the second bedroom was big enough for full size singles and the living/kitchen area was well appointed. "We had a really lovely stay here! The lodge was just the right size for us and our dog, spacious enough without feeling too big. It was super modern and spotless, which we appreciated. The highlight was definitely the hot tub - we were in it every night, sometimes twice! The only downside was the check-in and check-out times. Checking in at 5pm was fine, but having to leave by 9am was a bit of a rush, especially on the last day. It meant early mornings and tidying up before heading out, which kind of took away from the holiday vibe. Still, overall, we couldnt fault the place!"

"We just got back from a trip to Cedar Retreats and honestly, it was fantastic. Yorkshire's scenery is breathtaking and the location is spot on for exploring loads of nearby spots. The lodge itself was super comfy - having bedrooms at both ends and the living space in the middle was a clever layout, first time we've had that setup and it really worked well for us. We were lucky with the view; waking up to the fields and watching the sheep each morning was such a treat. Plus, there was this unexpected flooded field that turned into a mini wildlife sanctuary - loads of birds and all. The hot tub was a real highlight, so easy to get to and perfect for relaxing after a day out. The staff were all lovely, really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We did notice one of the beds squeaked a bit, but the lady at reception sorted it out quickly with her screwdriver - no fuss at all. Just a couple of tiny things: a whisk wouldve been handy in the kitchen and we noticed there wasnt much salt in the salt pot, which was a bit odd. Also, the small stones from the driveway tend to get trodden into the lodge, not sure how to stop that, but I guess its just one of those things. Overall though, it was a brilliant stay and wed definitely go back!"

"We had such a lovely, relaxing week here! The lodge was immaculately clean and super well-equipped - honestly, we couldnt have asked for more. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Everyone we met from the staff was really friendly, which made the stay even better. We brought our little dog along and found the Nosterfield nature reserve for walks - its just a quick two-minute drive, so convenient. Also, theres a small shop about ten minutes on foot, which came in handy for little bits and bobs wed forgotten. Were already planning our return in the summer - cant wait!"

"We had such a lovely stay at this place! The location is really beautiful and private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it still felt peaceful and secluded. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling. Only thing to keep in mind is the cottages proximity to Stansteds flight path - lots of planes overhead. It took us a couple of hours to get used to the noise, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Would definitely come back!"

"We stayed at a lovely lodge recently and overall it was quite nice. There were just a couple of small things we noticed. The kitchen couldve done with a few more utensils, especially since we like making pancakes on holiday. The frying pan wasnt great either - it was scratched and a bit tricky to use. The metal utensils also seemed to scratch the non-stick surface pretty quickly. When we first arrived, the towel rail was on its highest setting and I accidentally burned my arm - still got a red mark a week later! Maybe housekeeping could set it lower by default, then turn it up if needed. Once we got used to it, it wasnt a big deal. These little things didnt ruin our stay at all, just some friendly suggestions."

"We spent a weekend here with our kids, aged 9 and 6and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The lodge was spotless, modern and quite beautiful - really well looked after. The settings just perfect, nestled around a small lake, which made the whole vibe really peaceful. The only thing was the WiFi - we did struggle a bit at first, but the staff were quick to send someone out and it turned out wed been doing something wrong ourselves, so no biggie there. The hot tubs were definitely the highlight, especially in the evenings and we spent quite a bit of time relaxing in them. All the appliances in the lodge were straightforward to use - microwave, oven, dishwasher - you name it. Plus, the TV had Freeview channels and Netflix, so the kids were happy with that. The management team was really helpful and always available if we needed anything. Theres also a charming little village just a short walk away with a lovely pub by the river, serving great food - perfect for some local exploring. We really loved our stay and would definitely return. The only thing that brought the score down a touch was the value for money - it felt a bit overpriced considering there arent many facilities on-site. Were guessing its due to the current travel restrictions which have pushed prices up; hopefully, next year, itll be a bit more reasonable. Still, if the prices drop, well be back for sure!"
