"We booked this weekend as a surprise for my mums 60th birthday and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. There were seven of us, so space was a bit tight, especially in the living room where seating was limited - not ideal for such a big group. The beds were comfy, which was a bonus, but the heating in the master bedroom was broken at first, leaving my mum pretty cold on the first night - thankfully, it was fixed the next day. The hot tub was lovely, but getting the lid off and back on was a real struggle and the controls on the side made it tricky to check the temp before taking the lid off. We also found there werent enough places to dry our towels and swimsuits after using the facilities, which was quite annoying. Plus, with seven of us, a drinks fridge wouldve been really handy, especially since there are no shops nearby. The WiFi was pretty much useless, so I wouldnt recommend it if youre bringing kids, especially if they rely on tablets - my little one is autistic and needs his routine. All in all, some good bits but definitely room for improvement."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge; it was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Being pet-friendly was a big plus, with bowls and towels provided for our dog. The torch available for late walks was a clever idea too. The lady at reception with glasses was fantastic-so helpful and friendly. Overall, a lovely experience and were definitely planning to come back soon!"

Its a great spot if youre after a peaceful retreat and enjoy wandering through woodl and walks or creating your own entertainment. The facilities are good, but if dining out is your thing, the location might feel a bit remote, especially if you prefer quick trips to eateries. Still, wed come back!"

The cooking facilities did the job and the pool was peaceful-just what we needed. Having a car is a must since its a bit remote from towns. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which was great!"

Great on site facilities and close enough to the coast to have a day at the beach. Kids loved it.
Staff were extremely helpful too.
Contactless check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Facilities were ideal for family time putting, pool or table tennis. We had the pool to ourselves most days.
The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, despite it being single staffed most of the time and them having to cover the lounge, front desk, games facilities.
We would definitely visit again, we wished we'd booked a few more nights."
