Thomas - Aug 2025
"Our Addlethorpe Country Park review: 5* Lodge spoilt by cheap mattress on beds, which made it difficult and painful to sleep as springs were digging into you."
Jean - Aug 2025
"Augusta is a beautiful lodge excellent with the hot tub great location everything was perfect"

"I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the dumbarnie Lodge. Beautiful lodge, I can't recommend enough. Perfect location literally 5 min from Ingoldmells. We had plot 93 which had the hot tub built into the decking which made our stay"
Hayley - Jun 2025
"Pleasant stay, quiet and peaceful location."
Stuart - Jun 2025
"Brand new lodge like home from home very clean and the wi-fi works perfectly. Great to have a hot tub and balcony with fence round for the dogs, even they didn't want to go home."
Neil - May 2025
"Although there is very little on site (unless you're there for golf) the site is extremely peaceful, with the club house serving great food. The site is part of a lovely golf course so if you're a golfer then great. But if not, it's still a lovely site with very welcoming staff. The lodge was really nice with free EV charging which was great. We had an ensuite bathroom with bath & shower with toilet plus and additional bathroom with toilet & shower. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked great. If I had to have one thing to pick up on, I'd say the dishwasher could do with a good clean cycle. Other than that, we really enjoyed our 3 night stay."
Kevin - May 2025
"Lovely ????"
Sonia - Apr 2025
"everything was excellent, can not fault anything"
Mrs P - Apr 2025

Emily Carter - Apr 2025
"Really impressed with the lodge, such high standards and spotless everywhere. Brilliant stay!"
Emma Harper - Mar 2025
"We stayed here for a week in July with our two mini dachshunds and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The cottage itself is charming and cosy and the hot tub was definitely a highlight-especially during those scorching days, it cooled down just right. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Watching the planes land near Stansted was surprisingly fun, too. Its in a peaceful village, perfect for relaxing walks. Overall, wed definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway with pets. Well be back!"
Jess - Jan 2025
"We really enjoyed our visit! The surroundings were lovely and walking with the dogs was perfect."
Alex - Dec 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at this place! The setting is truly beautiful and very private, which we really appreciated. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they also respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling-it was just perfect. A small thing to keep in mind: the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but it might be worth considering if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!"
Raj - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed the peaceful vibe, perfect for a relaxing walk with the dogs. Lovely experience!"
Samira - Nov 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. The sunken hot tub was a real treat and the secure decking gave us peace of mind with our baby. Gorgeous views of the golf course too. Definitely would stay again!"
James - Oct 2024
"Great service, easy to locate and fantastic value overall!"
Sam - Oct 2024
"The lodge itself was lovely and very comfortable. Hot tub was fab. Could of done with more cooking utensils etc in the kitchen. More instructions needed to use the heating, etc. A folder with some info on take aways, supermarkets and places to visit would of been really helpful."
Nicola - Sep 2024
"Great stay, would definitely recommend"
Oliver - Sep 2024
"The place was so tranquil, perfect for unwinding after a busy week. Dogs loved the secure garden!"
Ella - Sep 2024
"This lodge is one of the best Ive ever stayed in. Every facility included. Very clean and well equipped . Lovely quiet lodge. Would definitely recommend ????"
Sharon - Sep 2024
"The lodge was absolutely stunning, but the washer dryer was a bit of a letdown - it only washes, doesnt dry. Still lovely!"
Harper - Sep 2024

Attractions Near Addlethorpe Country Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Addlethorpe Country Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 3 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 17 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 27 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 27 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 33 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 34 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
