Haveringland Hall Resort, perfectly placed for exploring the abundant delights of Norfolk. Built in 1840 from a design by famed Buckingham Palace architect Edward Blore, the Clock Tower entrance (with working clocks similar to that of the Palace) is thought to be the only other example of its kind. Guests at Haveringland Hall Cottages will find themselves only a short drive away from fine golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths such as The Marriots Way, The Bure Valley and Weavers Way.

There is easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, with Holt and Burnham Market (known as the Hamptons of Norfolk) just 12 miles away, offering excellent shopping as well as first class pubs and restaurants. Full of cultural attractions, the city of Norwich lies just 20 minutes away, offering interests to suit all tastes; from history and architecture to art galleries, shops and leisure activities. The splendid cathedral boasts some of Britain’s finest Gothic architecture with carvings adorning its interior, while high on a hill stands the 12th-century Norman castle, which now houses the Castle Museum.

Haveringland Hall Reviews

"Really enjoyed it"
Oliver - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, felt like a proper retreat and came back super relaxed."
Michael - Mar 2025
"We stayed for a week over the February half term with our mum, two kids and two dogs. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the manager gave us such a warm welcome, which was lovely. Despite having other guests around, it was surprisingly peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing break. We enjoyed some fantastic walks with the dogs each day and the onsite swimming pool was so clean and inviting - such a shame we didn't have enough time to make the most of it! The hot tub was a real highlight, huge and at just the right temperature, which the kids loved. The kitchen was a bit tight for space, but manageable since we're used to a bigger one at home. It might help to have scissors and a gravy jug there. One thing that was a bit annoying was the hot tub being drained on checkout morning without any warning - the kids were really disappointed not to have a last dip. The garden was flooded too, so we couldnt let the dogs out, but overall, it was a lovely stay!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"Absolutely loved our stay here! The hot tub and pool were brilliant and Mark was so helpful throughout. We had a proper chilled family break and can't wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in style."
James - Feb 2025
"Our Haveringland Hall review: We had a lovely stay at the Coach House. Mark, the manager, was really friendly and went out of his way to help us. Our daughter's smartwatch was posted back to us-such a kind touch!"
Alex - Feb 2025
"We had a really nice time! The apartment was huge and well-equipped, super clean too. The hot tub and pool were spotless and easy to get to, which was great. The host was friendly and gave us a mobile number in case anything came up after hours. We've stayed twice now and would definitely come back if we're nearby. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Great weekend, totally recommend it to everyone!"
Alexandra Morgan - Jan 2025
"We loved our stay at The Clock House! The charming atmosphere made it perfect for relaxing getaways. Its handy spot just north of Norwich means we could easily explore the Norfolk Broads, coast and the city itself. The pool was a real highlight and booking was straightforward with their paper system. Definitely recommend!"
Emma Turner - Sep 2024
"We loved the cosy vibe of the place, everything was thoughtfully decorated and had all we needed for a comfy stay!"
Emma - Jun 2024
"Lovely place, perfect spot, we really enjoyed our stay, will return soon."
Emma Carter - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was charming. Only issue was no shower curtain, so the wall got soaked-bit of a hassle! Still, lovely place."
Emily Carter - Mar 2024
"We loved the private garden, it was perfect for relaxing and backed onto the swimming area, which was a real bonus. The only downside was no shower in the bathroom, but using the bath worked fine. Overall, a lovely place to stay!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We had a fantastic time at The Clock House. The place was super cosy and well-equipped. The kids couldnt get enough of the pool! Perfect location for exploring nearby sights. Definitely a place wed visit again!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"We had a lovely stay at these cottages. The rooms were really spacious, spotless and looked gorgeous. There was an issue that wasnt their fault, but Mark sorted it out right away when we mentioned it-top service! The heated indoor pool was a real highlight; booking a slot was easy and it was free for our group, which was a bonus. Honestly, we used the pool more than the hottub! Were already planning to come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a break."
Jamie - Jan 2024
"Great space for family get-togethers!"
Emma - Jan 2024
"We had an absolutely lovely stay here! The best part was definitely the private enclosed garden for the dogs, which made it perfect for us. The house was huge, with a really spacious living room and three comfy bedrooms, each with its own TV-great for relaxing after a day out. The kitchen was fully equipped, so cooking was no problem at all. We did plan ahead on food and drinks since the nearest shop, Co-op, was about a 12-minute drive, but honestly, we didnt mind the remote feeling. The place was spotless too, which made everything even better. Wed recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!"
Laura - Jan 2024
"The manager was genuinely lovely, making us feel welcome from the start. The Christmas tree was such a lovely surprise, plus chocolates and buzz fizz-delicious! The pool was spotless and warm and the hot tub hit the spot. Definitely worth it!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"Really loved the place, its cosy, well-maintained and in a lovely spot."
Michael - Dec 2023
"The courtyard garden is such a lovely sun trap, perfect for relaxing. The surroundings are truly stunning."
Emma - May 2023
"We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away, offering real privacy, yet youre still close enough to enjoy local shops and cafes. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!"
David - May 2025
"We loved the cosy cottage, especially the hot tub and log burner. The hosts were lovely, super welcoming. Peaceful spot, cant wait to come back!"
Lucy - May 2025
"The house was gorgeous and super tidy, with everything we needed for a comfy stay. Hot tub was a highlight! We had such a lovely time."
Emily - May 2025
"We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and honestly, it was a great experience. The owners are genuinely friendly and go out of their way to help, which we really appreciated. The place itself is charming - a beautiful half-timbered building with a super strong shower, a cosy combined kitchen and living space and a really comfy bed. Parking right next to the cottage was a big plus. Its well-heated, spotless and perfect for exploring the walks to Thaxted or popping over to the nearby village with its lovely half-timbered houses and windmill. Wed definitely come back!"
Oliver - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and it was perfect for exploring with walks just outside. The owners made us feel very welcome, lovely people!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! The owners, Rob and Sharon, really put their heart into restoring this historic place with care and it shows. They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted, which is full of history and beautiful buildings. Honestly, its a great spot to unwind and soak in the local vibe. Would definitely return!"
Emma - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay. The peaceful vibe and fully enclosed garden made it perfect for our dog."
Harper - May 2025
"We had such a wonderful, chilled-out stay. The cottage was spotless, fully stocked with essentials, plus some nice little touches. Highly recommend it!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic weekend staying here! Definitely planning to return later in the year, no doubt."
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The owners are genuinely lovely and really went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, warm and super well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we definitely enjoyed the hot tub. Definitely recommend!"

Attractions Near Haveringland Hall

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Haveringland Hall. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 3 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 11 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 12 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 13 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 16 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 16 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 21 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 28 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 31 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 38 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
