Anchor Park Reviews

"Great caravan everything you need to function adequately perfect for taking dogs"
Shamena - Sep 2025
"Perfect spot for a quiet beach holiday. Caravan slightly worn but actually preferred this for a pet Friendly stay as we were less worried about the dog and kids making a mess. This is our second stay and will definitely be back."
Elisabeth - Aug 2025
"Everything better than expected"
Ian - Jun 2025
"Good accommodation Friendly hostIdeal location for beach"
Michael - May 2025
"Our Anchor Park review: Really enjoyed it, though probably better to visit when it's warmer weather."
Alex - Feb 2025
"We just got back from a fantastic four-night stay at this cosy cottage. The owners were super friendly and helpful, but they werent in our way at all. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a great BBQ for a summer evening. The hot tub was the cherry on top! Wed definitely come back and have already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!"
Jessie - Jan 2025
"Great spot, peaceful and calm. Just a heads up about access."
Claire - Dec 2024
"Absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere here, its perfect for unwinding and escaping the daily grind. Highly recommend!"
Sarah - Nov 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, peaceful, clean and lovely site overall."
Chris - Oct 2024
"The caravan had flies in it when we arrived. The beds were ok but small, sofa wasnt comfortable at all and cushions were ripped, carpet needed updating. Facilities were good."
Sue - Oct 2024
"We had a lovely few days here, really peaceful with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The caravan was cosy and fully equipped-everything we needed for a relaxing break."
Emma - Sep 2024
"A great holiday."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Brilliant holiday close to beach big field for children to play.clean friendly site owners are great."
Anne - Jul 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at this place, nestled in a truly gorgeous and secluded spot. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it still felt really private. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling! Only thing to note is that the cottage sits directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be an issue if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, wed definitely go back!"
Raj - Jul 2024
"We had a wonderful stay at this charming rural retreat. The courtyard was so pretty and the hot tub really made it special. Perfect for relaxing walks in the countryside too!"
Emily - Mar 2024
"Great vibe, will visit again"
Martin - Feb 2024
"We had a lovely time here! The site was peaceful and the owner was super helpful if we needed anything. Beach was never crowded, plenty of dunes to relax and explore. Walk to the sea took around 45 minutes, which was nice for us. Definitely recommend for a quiet getaway."
Steve & Lucy - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely stay here! The site was so peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The owner was super friendly and helpful, making everything easy. The location is fantastic for exploring stunning coastlines, with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The caravan was a bit worn, but spotlessly clean and comfy, which was great for our dog. Overall, wed definitely recommend it and are already planning to come back next year. A really enjoyable 4-night break!"
Sam - Nov 2023
"The place was really peaceful and perfect for our dogs with the fully enclosed garden. Lovely stay!"
Harper - Sep 2023

Mark - Jul 2017
"A beautiful site with lovely views across the countryside, just a 2 minute walk up and over the sand dunes to the exclusive beach. Only 6 caravans so very peaceful. Very helpful and friendly staff. Apart from one day, the weather couldn't have been better, we will definitely go back."
Stella - Sep 2014
"This is our 5th visit. it is so tranquil but not too long drive form amenities in Stalham or Sea Palling. you can walk to Sea Palling along the beach to buy a morning paper. there are always seals in the sea that come quite close. Beautiful sandy beaches , unspoilt. Absolutely love the place."
Naomi - Sep 2014
"This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Anchor Park
It's a fabulous location, so quiet and unspoilt fantastic!"
Glenys - Aug 2014
"Fantastic location for a peaceful break!!"
Divya - Jul 2014
"Caravan ok , had everything that was needed . We had a problem with the water temperature in the shower , I contacted the park owner he responded within minutes and all was fixed within 1/2 hour . Verty pleasant , helpful team . ."
Theresa - Jul 2022
"Very quite and safe location."
Charles - Jul 2022
"Anchor Park is a very quiet site with very few caravans and we liked it. It has immediate access to the beach which is extensive with miles of walking and lots of wildlife. We had a few miles to go for a shop when we needed it but that was a small price to pay for the relaxed atmosphere and the quietness of the site. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back."
Jackie - Jul 2022
"The world is full of people with strange ideas of what is important. If you feel that scatter cushions or super fast Wi-Fi are essential ingredients of a holiday then Anchor Park may not be for you. If, however, you value peace and quiet, fabulous uncrowded beaches, spectacular sand dunes and local wildlife then this most definitely is for you! Yes, the caravans may not be brand new but they are spotlessly clean, comfortable and fully functional in every aspect. A week away from emails and Amazon? When can I come back (with my cushions and lamps, of course)?"
Sarah - Jun 2022
"Lovely out of the way spot, but not completely isolated!"
Laura - May 2022
"Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend"
Caroline - Apr 2022
"Beautiful place to be wound definitely go again very clean"
Debbie - Mar 2022
"Really enjoyed our stay in the caravan was nice and clean and warm just a minutes walk to the beach. A lovely place to take your dogs for long walks the owners were very helpful when needed."
Julia - Mar 2022
"An excellent spot for a complete getaway from everyday life"
Linda - Nov 2021
"This is the sixth time that we have been to Anchor Park. It is a lovely quiet site. The North Sea is just over the sand dunes. The caravans are always clean on arrival"
John - Sep 2021
"Very clean and very relaxing!?"

Attractions Near Anchor Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Anchor Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 8 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 18 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 20 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 21 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 25 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 26 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 28 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 31 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 33 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
