Bossiney Bay Cottages Reviews

"Absolutely love this place, highly recommend!"
Emma - May 2022
"Really enjoyed the spontaneous family getaway, lovely break."
Emma - Apr 2019
"Really loved our stay, would come back again."
Emma - Feb 2019
"We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! The place is stunning and really feels cosy, with charming decor and thoughtful little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was great, so we didnt need anything extra. Only slight gripe is the towels - we were a family of three and only had two big ones, which was a bit of a pain, especially since we didnt bring any for the hot tub. Also, there was an issue with the hot tub leaking water, which we werent told about, so we couldnt use it on day three until it was sorted. Still, overall a lovely spot!"
Ellie - Nov 2018

"The rooms are spacious and really airy and the beds are super comfy. The boiler is a bit noisy and there are some wall cracks, though."

Charlotte - May 2025
"We had an amazing stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us cosy despite the rainy December weather. The bath was perfect and the shower was a nice size, which we appreciated. The location is great, especially if you have dogs that dislike fireworks-theyll love the quiet. The place is beautiful and really nicely converted. Thanks a lot for a lovely break!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating - they were so comfy! Lunas wagging got her a bit strained at the vet, but it just shows how much fun she had. Happy pups, happy us!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob, Sharon and Bonnie really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The buildings been beautifully converted with care, keeping its historic charm. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you like wandering around Thaxted and the nearby villages - so much history and charming architecture. Its exactly what we needed for a relaxing break, highly recommended!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a really lovely stay in this charming place, tucked away in a quiet, private spot. The owners were so friendly and always there if you needed anything, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around. Just a heads up, the cottage sits directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn't ruin our trip at all. Would definitely recommend!"
Oliver Smith - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels quite private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming hosts. The place is surprisingly spacious, with well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms and the bed was super comfy. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great eateries like The Star and The Maypole. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!"
George - May 2025
"The owners were super welcoming and helpful, especially when the power went out during the storm. The place was spotless, cosy and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we really enjoyed the hot tub too!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this peaceful spot. Sharon and Robert really go the extra mile to make sure everythings perfect. It was our second visit and honestly, well be back again soon for sure!"
Emma - May 2025
