Lodges with Hot Tubs North East

Lodges with Hot Tubs North EastLooking for a hot tub break with beaches, woodland and countryside settings? Look no further than the North East of England.  The North East is one of the most characterful areas of the country with friendly people, great seaside towns and villages and some stunning forests too!

On top of this there are plenty of attractions for families from Diggerland in Durham to The Forbidden Corner in York.  So much to do and explore.  If you like city culture then the cities of York and Newcastle offer great shopping, bars, and cafe culture in abundance.

Lodges with Hot Tubs around York

Griffon Forest is one of the most popular places to stay in this area.  With a luxury feel and perfect for romantic getaways, Griffon Forest is an easy drive from York city centre.  The woodland is established and the whole site has an “away from it all” feel about it.  With free standing baths and four poster beds in some lodges they really have the wow factor.

There are facilities on the doorstep too including a Fly fishing lake and cycle hire.  Just a few minutes walk away is Tykes restaurant where guests at Griffon Forest receive a discount.  The Poachers Premier Lodge is a real treat with outdoor hot tub and a great interior.

This area of the North East is perfect for exploring with both the Dales and the Moors close by.  Explore by car or get on on a bike to really make the most of the outdoors.

Woodland Lakes Lodges in Thirsk, Yorkshire, are beautiful lodges positioned around a lake as the name suggests.  An ideal retreat for couples and families with all the delights of Yorkshire on the doorstep.  Close to the city of York, there are also lots of charming towns and Durham Coastal Lodges Little Owl Lodgevillages dotted around the area.  You can take a Steam Train ride to Goathland, the setting for the TV show Heartbeat.  These lodges have a kids play area on site and plenty of opportunities for fishing.

Keldy Forest Lodges are another favourite in this area with stunning hot tub cabins including a treehouse lodge for special occasions.  Keldy Forest is also very pet friendly with many lodges offering dog friendly accommodation.  The forest setting is idyllic and it’s close to many local attractions and the station for the Steam Train.

For families, theme parks in this area include Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land which are super fun family days out in the North East.

Lodges with Hot Tubs Northumberland

Northumberland is a gorgeous setting for a holiday close to countryside and also within easy reach of towns and cities such as Newcastle.

For days out there are plenty of things to do including a trip to Alnwick Castle for Harry Potter fans.

This area has so much to offer and is a haven for birds and wildlife.  The spectacular scenery is fantastic for walks, cycle rides and even mountain biking.

At Border Forest Lodges, all of the cabins have verandahs or decking with outdoor hot tubs and back onto Cottonshope burn, overlooking pine forests.   One of the fantastic things about this location is the mile of paths directly from the lodges themselves, perfect for dog walks, evening strolls and bike riding.  Right on the doostep!

Lodges with Hot Tubs Near Durham

Durham Coastal Lodges Hot TubWe love Durham Coastal Lodges and have stayed at these lodges ourselves.  It’s a lovely intimate setting with play area for the little ones.  We loved that there were only a few lodges there so it feels like you’ve got the place to yourselves.  We stayed in the Little Owl Lodge which is perfect for a family for four.   Another option would be the gorgeous Penny Lodge with sleeps 6 and has a private hot tub and log burner.

Couples would also love this place as it’s very private.   The hot tub was a fantastic place to relax after days out.  We went to a few family friendly places such as Adventure Valley and Diggerland.

A visit to Lanchester Garden Centre is recommended if in the area as it’s full of really unique things and has an amazing cafe serving afternoon tea and Sunday Lunches.

Close by you can head into Durham city centre and explore Durham Cathedral and charming shops in the city centre and around the river.
