3. Castle Howard – Another popular spot to check out during your lodge break is this magnificent stately home just outside Malton. The house featured in Brideshead Revisited and offers spectacular interiors alongside stunning gardens. The woodland playground will appease the little ones and visitor feedback consistently praises the helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Open 10am-5pm (house closes 4pm).
