Kilnwick Percy Resort (KP Lodges) Reviews

"We stayed at the lodge recently and really enjoyed some aspects, like the comfy bedrooms and the beds, which are just fantastic. However, the bathroom situation was a bit disappointing-both showers had mould and the baths were tiny. The general wear and tear is noticeable, with marked ceilings and furniture looking quite worn. We love coming here, but if things keep declining, we might have to rethink visiting. Its a shame because it has so much potential!"
Emma - Apr 2025
"Wouldn't call this place luxury, needs a bit of sprucing up."
Emma - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, super peaceful and quiet. Perfect spot to unwind, definitely rebooking soon. Highly recommend!"
James - Mar 2025
"Great lodges overall, though some areas seem a bit worn out and need refreshing."
Emma - Mar 2025
"Our Kilnwick Percy Resort (KP Lodges) review: The lodge was really lovely-super modern and spacious, definitely somewhere wed stay again. Just a couple of cushions on the sofa wouldve made it feel more cosy and a bit more kitchen gear wouldnt hurt. Still, great stay!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"The lodge was in a lovely spot, but honestly, it feels a bit tired. The sunken floors in the kitchen and the battered units really show their age. It was clean, but not spotless. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, perfect after a long day. Still, the place could do with some proper TLC to make it really special."
Emily Carter - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our time here and the park itself is stunning, perfect for unwinding. The lodge was comfortable, but it could do with some sprucing up - its a bit worn compared to when we visited six years ago. Still, it didnt ruin our stay; we had a lovely break and left feeling refreshed. A few small touches would make it even better, but overall, it was a great experience!"
Harry - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed the stay, lovely lodge indeed!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"The lodge really impressed us with its stunning views and tidy, well-maintained surroundings. Lovely stay!"
Emma Clarke - Mar 2025
"The lodge was charming, even if a bit old-fashioned, but it didnt matter - it was spotless. The hot tub was fantastic and looked after daily, really enjoyed it!"
Emma Collins - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed the stay, would happily return."
Alex - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our first visit, can't wait to return soon! Definitely recommend."
Emma Roberts - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely time overall. The staff in the bar and restaurant were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The golf course was perfect-wide open and enjoyable. The lodge was spacious enough for our group of eight, but it did need some proper cleaning and repairs. Its a shame because the place had potential."
James - Jan 2025
"The place was really roomy and cosy, which we loved. The kitchen tap had a slight leak and the cutlery and glasses werent spotless after washing. Still, overall, it was quite nice and relaxing."
Alex - Jan 2025
"We absolutely loved our stay! The lodges are spacious and beautifully set in such a peaceful spot. Everything inside feels high quality, from the comfy bedding to the well-kept towels. The staff are genuinely friendly and always willing to help. The hot tubs checked daily, so its always ready. Weve been three times and are already planning our next trip!"
Sarah - Jan 2025
"We stayed here in the middle of January with our dog, myself and my partner and honestly, we were utterly impressed when we arrived. The lodge was massive - way bigger than we expected, especially for the price, which was pretty reasonable for this time of year. It didnt seem too crowded either; there were only a few other lodges occupied and it felt like they intentionally spaced them out for privacy, which was a bonus. The place was spotless and had everything we needed, plus the views over the golf course were absolutely stunning. The surrounding area isnt fully enclosed for dogs, but thats not a big deal since dogs should be on a lead anyway. Our lodge was at the start of the nature trail, a lovely circular walk around the golf course that connects to a public footpath leading to Pocklington - perfect for a peaceful stroll. We made good use of the hot tub every day and it was checked regularly by the staff, which was reassuring. The gym was well-stocked with all the equipment we needed, so we didnt feel the need to visit the spa since we had the hot tub. There are loads of walks nearby that dont require driving and we explored quite a bit on foot. The Buddhist meditation centre is worth a visit too - the gardens and lake are simply beautiful. The only minor issue was the WiFi signal, which was a bit weak at times (they do mention this in the arrival info), so our fire stick sometimes buffered while streaming. But honestly, that was a tiny flaw in an otherwise fantastic stay. We tend to do a lodge holiday at least once a year and can genuinely say this is the best place weve been to so far. Thanks for a truly memorable trip - well be back!"
Emily Carter - Jan 2025
"The sofa had a few marks, but honestly, it didnt ruin our stay at all. Its pretty comfy, too!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! The staff were genuinely friendly and the place was spotless. Loved that the clubhouse was dog-friendly too. Everything was well-maintained and looked after nicely. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"We really enjoyed the lodges and the overall vibe of the resort. The gym was a bonus and well-equipped, which was handy. Since its a golf resort, you do get quite a bit of golf nearby, so privacy in the hot tub isnt always guaranteed, but still a lovely place!"
James - Dec 2024
"Nice weekend, but the lodge could use a bit of TLC."
Emma Clarke - Dec 2024
"The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed, just missing dishwasher liquid and tablets. Good stay!"
Mark - Dec 2024
"Very spacious and spotless lodge, wed happily come back again."
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here! The lodge was super comfy, staff couldn't be more friendly and the food was genuinely tasty. Definitely coming back!"
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"We really enjoyed the lodge, it was lovely and cosy. The only small gripe was no dishwasher tablets, so bring your own if you need them. First world problems indeed!"
Sam - Dec 2024
"The house was just perfect for a family getaway. Its beautifully decorated, spotless and in a great spot. The kids and grandkids had an amazing time, wed definitely come back!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2024
"Great experience, highly recommend"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Very cosy place, we loved the snug vibe."
Emma - Nov 2024
"The lodge was super clean and had all we needed for a self-catering getaway. Lovely stay!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Relaxing stay, lodge needs some freshening up"
Emily Carter - Nov 2024
"Honestly, the lodges are stunning and really well kept. We stayed in a pet-friendly one that was spotless when we arrived and it smelled so fresh! The location is just perfect - overlooking the golf course and tucked away from the hustle, which was ideal for the kids to play around. Its also a great base for exploring-only about 30 minutes to lovely York and half an hour to Scarborough, both packed with fun things for the little ones. Were definitely coming back. One thing though - a quick sweep or hoover now and then would help keep the place tidy, especially with kids around, since no one came in to change towels or clean during our stay but overall, a lovely spot!"
Emily - Oct 2024
"Lovely place to stay, the lodges are perfect and clean we had our own parking places which made unpacking easier. The hot tub was lovely and we had plenty of privacy! The beds were very hard but I’m used to memory foam so anything else would be. The restaurant was nice and sat outside looking at the view of the golf course was stunning. I would definitely stay here again."
Kerry - Jul 2022
"Beautiful location with stunning views."
Pauline - Jul 2022
"Lovely accommodation- very clean, modern and well equipped. A nice holiday park with some facilities on site but also close enough to towns to spend days away."
Rhona - Jul 2022
"Fabulous break with friends. Staff friendly and attentive, accommodation lovely and clean (could just do with soap and a hand towel in each bathroom) views were amazing, facial was fantastic and afternoon tea was delicious!!"
Lyndsey - Jul 2022
"We stayed at this resort Monday to Friday. It was a fantastic and beautiful resort and we will definitely be back. Staff were lovely and friendly. We had a warm welcoming and Ken who was the on-site security popped around the site each evening checking everything was okay. He was very kind and helpful. The only downsides were not being able to use the hot tub after 11pm and not having an enclosed area for dogs meaning they were constantly on long lines. Over all, definitely recommend this resort."
Megan - Jul 2022
"We had a wonderful weekend with family for a wedding which was just great. Staff helpful and friendly. We were aware that the lodge is to be refurbished. It is expensive though."
Eileen - Jul 2022
"Excellent resort and loved our stay. Only downside was restaurant, which was hard to get into and when we finally did the food was poor. However, overall experience was fabulous and we will definitely go back"
Jane - Jul 2022
"Amazing place, enjoyed every single moment and was worth it"
Memory - Jul 2022
"Excellent lodge and surroundings"
Stephen - Jul 2022
