"We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it felt like we were in a little home away from home. Everything was spotless and tidy, which was a relief. We always wash our dishes beforehand, but it was clear that everything had just been through the dishwasher, so no worries there. The hot tub was fantastic-clean and perfect for relaxing. My only gripe is that on the morning we checked out, we noticed someone, probably maintenance, walking around our lodge at about 8am and by 9am they were draining the hot tub. We could have easily been enjoying it! Our checkout was at 10am, so it felt a bit rushed, like they were eager to get us out. Still, a lovely stay overall."

"The lodge was really lovely, we felt right at home. Everything was spotless, apart from a few plates and dishes, but honestly, we'd wash those anyway. The fridge and freezers were huge, perfect for storing everything. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, which was great. We loved having both indoor and outdoor seating options. The hot tub was big enough for two and super clean. The wood burner was a real highlight. Would totally recommend this place!"

"Weve been to Lakeside twice now, once back in 2015 and again recently this year. Both visits were lovely! The location is perfect and the place is kept really clean, which we appreciated. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome. One thing we noticed on our latest trip is that the lodges could do with a bit of a refresh - some freshening up wouldnt go amiss. We did see work happening, like new walls around some lodges and the hot tubs area, so it seems theyre investing a little. Overall, wed recommend Lakeside, though a bit more modernisation would definitely improve things for the price."

"We had a great stay overall. The lodge is lovely, right next to the lake, so we enjoyed watching the ducks and geese in the mornings. The staff were genuinely friendly and quick to help with anything we needed, which made a big difference. The mattress was a bit on the firm side, but we still managed to get a decent sleep. There were some marks on one of the worktops, but honestly, it didnt affect our stay at all. Were already planning to come back!"

"We loved the peaceful setting and its so easy to get to shops and takeaways from here. Its the perfect escape from the busy daily grind. The walk along the seafront is lovely, with plenty of cosy cafes to pop into. The Mariner served up fantastic food with great views over the beach. We also tried Whiteheads Fish and Chips - absolutely top notch, no need to go anywhere else. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thanks, Hornsea!"

"We had a lovely stay at this lodge with our group of eight ladies. The hot tub was fantastic, perfect for relaxing. While the place was spotless and beds comfy, some areas like the wooden furniture and sofa need a bit of an update - the sofa was ripped and stuffing was poking out. Still, were planning to come back soon!"

"We had a really pleasant stay and the place was spotless and comfy. The Jacuzzi was a real treat after long days out and its great that there were plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and plates - no fuss at all. The lodges felt private, so we didnt hear anything from neighbours, which was lovely. Id prefer a firmer mattress, but it suited most of us just fine. Wouldve been nice to have a washing machine, but we found a laundromat nearby. Overall, a perfect, relaxing week!"

"We really enjoyed the location and the lovely surroundings, but honestly, the lodge wasnt very clean. There were cobwebs, dust and the counters and table looked like they hadnt been wiped down. We also expected some complimentary washing up liquid and a tea towel, but neither was there. The pans listed on the wall were missing most of their pieces. Such a shame, because the lodge itself is quite nice, but cleanliness could be improved!"
