Loved the laminated guides with local tips, very handy! The hot tub was a highlight and the decor felt boutique-like - really special. Cant wait to return, honestly. Its one of the best getaways weve had in ages!"

"Our Avon Wood review: We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Its spotlessly clean and super comfy, which made everything feel relaxing. The large deck was a highlight, with nice outdoor furniture and plenty of space for my hammock. The kitchen was well-stocked, perfect for cooking full meals and the dining area was great for meals and games. The bathrooms were modern and had good showers too. Wed definitely come back!"

"We recently stayed at Avon Wood and honestly, it was such a lovely experience. The lodge was spotlessly clean and looked stunning, with views that really took our breath away. After a long day of hiking up the hills, relaxing in the hot tub was just perfect - we definitely made good use of it! The welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch, very thoughtful. This was our first trip to the Lake District and we loved it so much that weve already booked to come back in April. The location is quite remote, around ten minutes drive from the main spots, but thats exactly what we wanted-peace and quiet. Oh and at the bottom of the park, you can easily access the lake from a tiny slipway, which was adorable. Definitely bring your kayaks if you can, its worth it. The hosts were lovely too. We highly recommend Avon Wood!"

"We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its stunning! The location is just breathtaking, surrounded by such a peaceful setting. The facilities were spot on, everything we needed was there and the welcome pint of milk was a lovely touch-perfect for that first cuppa after a long drive. Christine was really helpful beforeh and, making sure we knew what to pack and what to leave behind, which was a big help. The spa was a real treat, especially after a day of walking; slipping into it was perfect. The only downside is that you definitely need a car since there are no footpaths nearby. We did manage a quick walk around the site, but it was pretty short. Wed definitely return and recommend to others!"

The owners are helpful and always around the park if you need them.
