Hemsby Beach Holiday Park Reviews

"The place offers all the essentials, which is perfect if you're after something simple. We didnt hang around much because of other plans, but it did exactly what we needed, no fuss."
Emma - Nov 2024
"Really appreciated how tidy and well-kept the place was. It was pretty peaceful most of the time too. Staff were lovely and always ready to help. Would definitely come back!"
James - Nov 2024
"We had a lovely stay overall, but the place could really use a deep clean. The carpets and sofas are looking a bit worn out, sadly. Beds werent the comfiest either!"
Emma Clarke - Oct 2024
"We stayed here recently and honestly, its a cracking place! The size is impressive and with four TVs plus speedy internet, its perfect for a family getaway. Theyve thought of everything - towels, bedding, washer, toaster, dishwasher - all included. The hot tub was a hit. Only quirks were no tea towel and no hoover, but a quick call sorted the hoover out. Weirdly, they also left a box of matches in the kitchen. Overall, really pleased with our stay!"
Sam - Oct 2024
"Our Hemsby Beach Holiday Park review: Honestly, we expected a bit more for the price. The caravan was quite old and struggled a lot during high winds - one side panel even fell off! The place was dog-friendly, which was great, but it wasnt as clean as wed hoped. Not offering towels or even basic things like a tea towel made cooking a bit of a hassle. The hot tub was definitely the highlight - lovely and relaxing. That said, the photos online paint a different picture from what you actually get; its a bit disappointing. The inside could do with a refresh and the beds were way too soft for our liking. Could be better, for sure!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The caravan was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Loved that it was pet friendly with secure gating for our dog. The WiFi and Netflix kept us entertained. The hot tub was truly the highlight. Can't wait to return!"
Emma Clarke - Sep 2024
"Really loved this place, it was spotless and comfy. Just a bit pricey, but worth it! Definitely recommend."
Emma - Sep 2024
"We stayed here and noticed a crack in the ceiling of one bedroom. The twin room had a persistent bad smell for two days, which was a bit off-putting. The dining table and chairs didnt really match the rest of the decor and we discovered our lodge was a former site office, so it wasnt fitted out the same way. For £1100 for a week, we expected better quality, honestly."
Ella Carter - Sep 2024
"The villa was spotless and spacious, which we really appreciated. The garden could do with a proper tidy, though."
Alex - Sep 2024
"The lodge was pretty lovely overall. It was spacious and comfortable, though the carpet and sofas had a few stains-probably because its a pet-friendly place. The hot tub was definitely the highlight, really enjoyed it!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"We loved how spotless the caravan was and it felt just like being at home. Definitely planning to come back again soon!"
Lucy - Aug 2024
"We had a great 4-night break! The chalet was cosy and there was loads of space for the kids outside."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We noticed quite a few changes since our last visit. The blinds replacing curtains look sleek and the new big TV on the wall is a bonus. The heaters seem modern too. Just wish there was a bathroom cabinet for extra storage. Still, pretty good overall!"
Mike - May 2024
"Seats are pretty limited-just a small two-seater, sadly. Seen better days."
Charlotte - May 2024
"Solid holiday, but those armchairs were definitely missed this time around."
Emma Carter - Apr 2024
"Good value for money, it had all the essentials we were after."
Samira - Apr 2024
"We stayed in the chalet recently and found it pretty decent for the two of us. Not sure it would comfortably fit four though. The sofa wasnt the comfiest for lounging, but everything was spotless and the place felt bright and cosy. Its not as fancy as a caravan, but we liked it!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"Weve stayed at these lodges three times now and honestly, they just keep getting better. The hot tub is such a treat! Plus, those two enclosed balconies are perfect for the dog. Really love the layout and how secure it feels. Cant wait to come back again!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We loved the lodge-so relaxing and beautifully designed. The walk-in wardrobe and en suite in the main bedroom were lovely touches. Only a few tiny things like cobwebs near the cooker and limited cutlery for four people, but overall, a great stay!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was spotless and comfy too!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Had a lovely stay, definitely planning to return soon!"
Emily - Aug 2020
"Lovely stay, would definitely come back again."
Alex Morgan - Aug 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at the park; it served as a great base for exploring the area. The facilities were handy and well thought out, especially with Covid measures. Only thing wed change is the restaurant menu - more vegetarian choices would be fantastic!"
Emily - Aug 2020
"Really appreciated how spacious and clean everything was. Felt safe throughout, especially in these tricky times!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"The caravan was spotless, though a bit tired looking, which is pretty typical for dog-friendly places. We loved how roomy it was and the decking with a picnic bench was perfect for sunny afternoons. The kids enjoyed the grassy area with trees nearby - great for exploring and running around. Would definitely stay again!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We recently rented the van and overall, it was pretty good. Found a packet of prescription meds under the bed that werent ours, but the reception team was really helpful and apologetic. Also noticed a used soap bar in the shower, which made us a bit wary about cleanliness. So, we used our own antibacterial spray to be safe. Its a decent van, but a bit more thorough cleaning wouldnt hurt, especially these days."
Rachel - Aug 2020
"Enjoyed every moment thoroughly"
George - Aug 2020
"Clean, well-stocked, good location"
James - Aug 2020
"The activities were limited due to the shortage of staff on site. We were here a week before schools broke up so this may be the reason why there were not too many staff perhaps. The climbing wall was limited to one day a week. And the pool kept being closed due to lack of lifeguards. Whereas the children’s club was open at 7.30 each night and was ok, the activities were a bit repetitive but the kids didn’t seem to mind though. One of the entertainment staff was a bit wooden, she would have been more suited to a receptionist or admin rather than kids entertainment. She seemed terrified half the time. Also, Some other residents were noisy after 10 pm which was an issue with sleeping children. The restaurant was overpriced. 4 breakfasts with coffees came to over £45. I asked if drinks and toast were included - but they weren’t. The food quality was poor too. Look at Weatherspoons for how to put on a good breakfast at half your costs."
Shena - Aug 2022
"Holiday was great but lake of information given for activity’s but I will return again as it was just right for me as a foster parent and children do have lots of issues with noise and crowds of people"
June - Aug 2022
"Site and facilities were great but the beds weren't great"
Michael - Aug 2022
"It was a great experience all round. Wonderful to see dog friendly really meant dog friendly. Great park great town and great beach"
Brian - Aug 2022
"staff are very friendly polite and helpful"
Donna - Aug 2022
"Brilliant place, clean caravan no issues. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location to beach and arcades. Lacon arms is a lovely pub with great food right near the beach, also the beach cafe had lovely food and friendly staff."
Kelly - Jul 2022

Attractions Near Hemsby Beach Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Hemsby Beach Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 13 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 19 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 24 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 26 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 33 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 33 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 33 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 35 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
