Close to the Lake District National Park and just a short walk from the village of Aspatria, these stylish lodges have stunning views across the Northern Fells and the Scottish Hills. They overlook a pretty woodland lake, surrounded by beautiful Cumbrian countryside and there's a pub and a restaurant within walking distance.

With fishing, golf, bike hire and some wonderful walks through secluded woodland right on the doorstep, the park is within easy travelling distance of Carlisle. For some delicious food in an AA-recognised restaurant, head to Overwater Hall a few miles away in Cumbria - but remember to book first!

If you're looking for the ultimate in luxury, these lodges have hot tubs and wood burning stoves, as well as gorgeous interior design features like roof lighting and Shaker-style kitchens. Lawson lodge sleeps four people and has a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD, as well as a private patio with hot tub.

The Lake District has beautiful countryside, stunning clifftop walks and long sandy beaches as well as some delightful villages like the market town of Keswick - and Kippford, a popular sailing centre.

Our Top Tip
"Visit Carlisle Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned - and take your pick of the many pubs and restaurants locally."

We stayed in the Darwin lodge and it was everything we expected and more. The lodge itself is perfect, everything is well looked after, clean and feels new. The hot tub was amazing and with the surrounding mounts it meant we weren't overlooked. The grounds were quiet and beautiful and the food in the on site restaurant was well priced, tasty and worth a visit.

Lodge was brilliant even the beds where comfortable, kitchen well equipped, hot tub amazing under the cover and twinkling lights.
Took a while to get to grips with the log burner so maybe could do with better instructions.
Only gripe is Hoseseasons with their fluctuating pricing, I can understand a week or two before the date dropping prices but not a month before so will put me off booking in advance

This is the perfect place for a chilled break. Not much around if you like walking you would need to drive out as only 2 walks and not very long .
Dominique
Fabulous! Not much to do in area but perfect for a good chill!
Paul
Lovely place to stay and beautiful luxurious lodges with all needs catered for. Only minor point was that the beds weren't overly comfy which I appreciate is often down to personal choice anyway. Would highly recommend.
Marie
An amazing lodge. Restaurant serves excellent food. Will be returning for 3rd visit.
Julie
We are just back from a week at North Lake Lodges and this was the nicest lodge we have ever stayed in. It was fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Each lodge is separated by banks of earth which makes it very private. The setting is very tranquil and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. There is not much to do on site, but it is a good location to use as a base for exploring the surrounding Lake District and Cumbria. If it's a restful break you are looking for, this is an ideal site. Food at the Lakeside Inn was home made and tasty and portions were huge!
Tracey
Perfect get away.
Lucy
Quite simply the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Beautiful views of the Lake District.

Absolutely anazing lodge. Cane with my wife for a relaxing 4 days. We just chilled and unwound it was amazing the bath tub and hit tub were brilliant features. Wish there was halal options at the diner but thats all. We did nothing enjoyed the view relaxed and got to know the cheeky ducks. Would definitely come again.
Siobhan

Fun Days Out near North Lakes Lodges

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Ullswater Steamers - about 21 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Mabie Farm Park - about 22 Miles
Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Seasonal activities can also be enjoyed including a spookly tea and walk on Haloween. The Farm closes for the winter on October 31st.
