Paradise Lakeside Lodges Reviews

"Amazing place so quiet staff really helpfull can t wait to go again soon"
Mark - Aug 2022
"Had a lovely time. The pod was pristine when we arrived. The grounds were lovely and peaceful. Being in the middle of nowhere there was a drive to get to places but that wasn't a problem, the tranquility was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be recommending to others."
Jessica - Aug 2022
"Was very surprised by the pod. Small but perfectly formed! Had everything you could need. Have stayed in the lodges before but the pods seemed to be more chilled and peaceful which is exactly what we needed after a pretty rough year."
Carolyn - Aug 2022
"Good location, clean and very friendly place."
Sandra - Jul 2022
"Great stay will be back"
Paul - Jul 2022
"Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault the accommodation or location as very central to our needs."
Nicola - Jul 2022

Louise - Jul 2022
"If you want a proper break from the chaos this is perfect. Absolutely perfect for couples to just chill out and unwind. My husband and I felt so relaxed and chilled. It’s all lovely and clean and we organised. Just slide your cases under the bed and relax . The ducks were absolutely adorable. We loved it"
Louise - Jul 2022
"Great holiday and fishing"
Linda - Jul 2022
"Excellent value for money. Quiet, secluded and beautiful setting."
Kirstie - Jul 2022
"Beautiful surroundings, very well designed pod in terms of utilising a small space as well as you can. Best pod we’ve been to and staff on arrival were outstanding. Definitely would visit again ???"
Jonathan - Jul 2022
"We booked up for the paradise pod the week before the summer holidays kicked off for most people, which made it exceptionally priced! The only issues we experienced were completely out of their control - the complete insufferable heatwave of 40°. The last two days we spent in the pod were amazing, lovely and cool and made it possible to fully relax. However, the beginning two days, the heat made it insufferable, the extreme heat made it difficult to sit in the pod as it felt like a sauna, and it was difficult to sit out due to the humidity and copious flies. We chose to use the pod as a base and spent a day in Bridlington (much cooler weather) and in York centre. Paradise pods would have been the best holiday we had ever had if it wasn’t for the heatwave which made our young daughter very ill. Be prepared to live out of a suitcase as the pods are very compact - however, if you are bit bothered about space then they are ideal. We will be booking up for next year, and hopefully missing any heatwave!"
Holly - Jul 2022
"Absolutely beautiful place, fantastic pod & wonderful helpful staff especially Ralph! Will be visiting again, highly recommended"
Danielle - Jul 2022
"Lovely little lodge in the country side nothing on site have to travel out in car, clean on arrival staff welcoming and explained everything only disadvantage was that we could not lock the doors as they were broken."
Charlotte - Jul 2022
"My son and mate thought it was great the fishing was fab can't wait to go again"
Beverley - Jul 2022
"Loved the peace and quiet of the park we would definitely revisit"
Susan - Aug 2020
"My wife & I had a lovely time relaxing and wish we could have stayed on. Nature was superb seem red deer & squirrels from our pod."
Paul - Aug 2020
"We loved the pods! They were really well equipped with everything you would need. The site itself is located in a really quiet location, perfect little get away but close enough to York. Everyone we met was helpful and cheerful! The price was also very cheap for August-We will definitely be returning!"
Melanie - Aug 2020
"Absolutely great no complaints"
Marilyn - Aug 2020
"Great holiday, easy to get to a variety of places such as York & Bridlington. A peaceful setting and having the hot tub was amazing.
Staff are really friendly and helpful."
Jennifer - Aug 2020
"Excellent relaxing break in a beautiful setting"
Jeannette - Aug 2020
"Totally relaxing and pleasant experience."
Christine - Aug 2020
"Myself and my partner absolutely loved our stay! The pods were really cute and lovely, very warm in the day though after a hot day - maybe air con could be a consideration? The view of the lake every morning was a nice touch. There could be maybe more activities or a bar on site for the guests to chill out. Location is good off the main track down a country road, however, there isn't really anything to do within a 30 minute drive - especially with the bridge closed! Pocklington is a short drive away which is a nice village to visit to go to the local shop and chippy etc. York town centre is around 40 minutes and that is lovely! Staff are excellent, so friendly and helpful! I was on crutches while I was there and there were so helpful with us and helped us with our bags etc! Always happy to chat and share knowledge of the area and what to do etc - couldn't fault them. Value for money was excellent - Worked out about £72 for both of us for 4 nights which you can't really complain about! We are definitely going to be visiting again!!"
Charlie - Aug 2020
"just the perfect place to distress and unwind"
Angela - Aug 2020
"Was just what we needed after the lockdown!!
Also losing my stepfather was lovely to bring my mum along for some well deserved family time."
Alison - Aug 2020
"Great pod spacious and clean great views of Lake from pod 9"
Alana - Aug 2020
"Excellent was great just to relax and do nothing"
Roy - Jul 2020
"We had a great little holiday in the paradise pod. Bed was comfortable, all the appliances you really need were supplied, lake was great! Would definitely recommend! The only issue we had were that lots of flies kept coming into the pod! It would be handy if they had a fly screen or a fly zapper in the pod to make it even better."
Pam - Jul 2020
"It was a pleasure from start to finish and may return at a later date"
Michael - Jul 2020
"Excellent holiday, all of the family enjoyed it. We would definitely return again. The staff were all wonderful and the accommodation was lovely and clean. The surroundings were both beautiful and peaceful."

Carol - Jul 2020
"just lovely break in these strange times"
Brian - Jul 2020
"The cabin itself was very roomy and cosy on a night however the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom In my opinion could be improved as the kitchen floor was quite dirty and felt sticky along with the utensils and the bathroom had flys/spiders around the poles. The cabin had everything we needed in it including a hairdryer and iron, it had a table you could eat at and the lounge area was big enough."
Abbie-mae - Mar 2020
