Heads of Ayr Holiday Park Reviews

"The views and hot tub made our stay memorable."
Emily - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings here."
Emily Carter - Dec 2024
"The hot tubs lighting was pretty poor - only one dim outside light, so we had to keep the toilet light on just to see! Still, overall, it was a relaxing stay, just a bit let down by the lighting situation. Wouldnt mind returning, though."
James - Nov 2024
"We recently tried staying in a pod for the first time and honestly, it was great! Very tidy and snug, which we loved. The only tiny downside is if you're taller than 5ft9, you might feel a bit cramped on the downstairs bed, but overall, super comfortable. Well definitely come back!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2024
"Our Heads of Ayr Holiday Park review: We loved Jura Lodge! The inside was spotless and stunning. Honestly, one of the best family stays we've had. Definitely coming back!"
Alex - Oct 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The park was beautifully kept, super peaceful and the accommodation was spotless and modern. The hot tub was perfect after a long day - really loved it! Will definitely return."
Emma - Aug 2024
"Nice holiday, everything went smoothly, no complaints at all."
Sam - Jul 2024
"Really loved the cosy vibe inside, everything we needed was right there! Great stay."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Really comfortable stay, would recommend it!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"The place was really tidy and well-kept, which we appreciated. Sadly, there was a big stain on one of the curtains that was quite noticeable. Also, the window casing in the bathroom came off when we opened it. Mentioned it to Liz, who was quite grateful for the heads up."
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We had a lovely weekend at the caravan, which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable beds! The staff were really helpful and quick to reply to emails, which made everything easy. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, though it was a bit lukewarm - itd be great if they could adjust the temp based on the weather. Also, on our last morning, staff started emptying the tub before we left, which was a tad early, but overall, we had an amazing time!"
Rachel Turner - Jan 2024
"We stayed here while working nearby. Its a lovely, peaceful spot. Would definitely come back for a proper visit when were free to explore!"
Sarah - Dec 2023
"We had such a lovely stay at the Jura Lodge! The hot tub was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Liz at the site office was super friendly and gave us top tips on local places to eat and drink. Well definitely be coming back to Heads of Ayr soon!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed the pladda pod, its super modern and the concept is just spot on! Will return."
Emma - Nov 2023
"Beautiful scenery, relaxing holiday experience"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was spotless and super comfy, just what we needed. Its perfect if you want a peaceful getaway with your dogs - the deck was great for them to explore. Booking a pet-friendly hot tub break during peak season was worth it, even if the electricity bill must be hefty! Overall, a good deal for the price."
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was super comfortable with breathtaking views. Plenty of activities nearby for all the family and the beach was just a short stroll away. Were already planning our next visit-cant wait to return!"
Rachel - Nov 2023
"We had a really nice stay at Heads of Ayr Park. The views were absolutely gorgeous and its just a short stroll to the beach from our lodge, which was perfect. The on-site shop was handy for our basic needs and they even had fresh meals in trays - super convenient and reasonably priced, which we appreciated. The staff knew a lot about the local area, giving us great suggestions on things to do and places to visit, so we were never bored. The lodge and the whole site were spotless and comfy and the hot tub was kept perfectly maintained every day, which was a nice touch. The only thing wed say is the mattress wasnt as comfy as wed hoped, but honestly, it didnt put us off booking again. The lodge was well equipped with all the basic cooking gear, plus a fridge freezer - a lovely surprise! We visited during the summer holidays and despite it being full, the site was peaceful and quiet. Thanks for a lovely holiday!"
Emma - Oct 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was spotless, roomy and had a lovely vibe. We were a family of four, including two teenagers and everyone found something to love. The hot tub was checked daily, which was reassuring and the staff were super friendly. The views were stunning and even though its peaceful, theres plenty to discover nearby. Great spot!"
Emma Carter - Oct 2023
"Absolutely loved it! Stunning views and everything looked just like photos."
Emily - Oct 2023
"This parks setting is stunning, with calm surroundings and lovely sea views. Its always spotless too. Definitely recommend it, no doubts!"
Emily - Oct 2023
"Absolutely loved our stay! The caravan was fantastic, super comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!"
Emma - Oct 2023
"We loved the cottage! Its perfectly tucked away, so peaceful but still near local shops and essentials. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything nice and warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel super welcome. Cant wait to return soon!"
Martin - May 2025
"The cottage was just lovely, with a cosy log burner and a hot tub that was perfect after a day exploring. Hosts were really friendly too. Hope to come back soon for a longer stay!"
Charlotte - May 2025
"The place was lovely, super clean and comfy. The hot tub was definitely the highlight too!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely warm and attentive, making us feel really welcome. The cottage itself is adorable, with charming half-timbered details and a comfy bed that ensured we slept well. The bathroom's shower is powerful and the cosy kitchen made it easy to relax. Parking right next to the cottage is a real bonus. Plus, the location is perfect for walks around Thaxted and exploring nearby villages with their quaint houses and windmills. Great spot!"
Oliver - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right from the doorstep were perfect. The owners made us feel so welcome, lovely people indeed."
