Date of stay: 20th October 2018
This is a lovely lodge. There was three of us and two dogs. Very impressed with the size of the decking and the bathroom had a bath with overhead shower which was good. The open plan living, kitchen, dining area was lovely too.

Date of stay: 15th October 2018
Mobile home was better than expected, bonus of en suite and main bathroom.
Claire, Northampton
Date of stay: 8th October 2018
Slightly older caravan but warm & cosy. Beds made up on arrival, which were comfortable; hand towel & soap provided & en suite which is always a bonus. Our only quibble was that the kitchen could've done with an extra wipe over, but for a long weekend it was really good value & just the job. :)
Stacey, Kent
Date of stay: 29th September 2018
Cabin with first impressions was taken back. When closing time blinds we found they was thick with dirt (especially by the kitchen sink) and dusty. The skirting boards was very dusty. The utensils and frying pan need replacing but apart from that was nice and comfortable.
Peter, Oldham

The doorway`s in the lodge was a bit to small and the old fastener and no lock on the toilet and shower room but it was ok for us .

Date of stay: 17th August 2018
Lovely and new - really quite flashy with chandeliers and wine cooler. Big double American fridge/freezer. Dishwasher, ensuite, fab shower. Clean especially considering it's a really outdoorsy place. Good size decking with BBQ we hadn't expected!

Date of stay: 25th May 2018
The carpet was dirty , this could be due to the cherry blossom trees..our lodge was high in the tree..had to wash the cars twice due to the sap..no welcome book with local info which is usual as we always find that helpful..didnt use the cooking facilities
Gregory, Scarborough
Date of stay: 18th May 2018

Alison, Chadwell Heath
Date of stay: 18th May 2018
Overall we loved the Accomodation it was very comfortable in a good location.
A few gripes, we did have a problem with ants who were very keen to share the kitchen worksurface with me whilst preparing food, this was easily solved with antstop. I was also hoping to see something to make fresh coffee in and a teapot, dustpan and brush.

The variety of birdsong here in May is fantastic even an Owl at night. Good for stargazing.

Date of stay: 24th March 2018
Went at a cold time when we had snow but found the caravan warm enough dressed in appropriate clothing. The lounge was spacious and kitchen well equipped. The twin beds were a bit narrow but usual for a caravan. The little on-site supermarket was well stocked and surprisingly well priced. We didn't use the gym or swimming pool but these seemed a reasonable size and clean. Again we didn't make use of the entertainment as that is not our thing but others seemed happy with it.

lovely lodge, really enjoyed our stay. The oven had not been cleaned previously so just to open the oven door caused the smoke alarm to activate, and there was a lack of kitchen utensils but other than this perfect.

Date of stay: 16th September 2017
My only complaints are pretty minor... we had 3 forks in a van booked for 4?! Would have been nice for this to have been sorted by the service team rather than us serving up dinner to discover. Furniture really needed to be moved and cleaned behind... we found a dog chew behind one sofa after I got fed up of the dog sniffing under it the entire evening and there were sweet wrappers in one bedroom cupboard.... there were a number o light bulbs out in our accommodation including an exterior which was a little unsafe.....as I say all minor but could have easily been addressed by service team.
David, Thanet Kent

Date of stay: 26th August 2017
The park has potential to be amazing if wifi was good. On rainy days and nights it would have been nice to watch Netflix. The park needs another large pool as well.
As a base it was ideal.

Only query, could not get oven to work.
Davies, Denbigh
Date of stay: 29th July 2017
The lodge was not very clean, remnants of food in the kitchen drawers however the bathroom was spotless.
Evidence of smoking in the lounge area, empty cigarette box on the floor and ash /cigarette burns on the carpet, the couch smelt heavily of cigarette smoke.
The reception staff placed a Ozone machine there one day when we were out, but I had to wash the couch down few times that helped a little, good job we were out most of the days

Date of stay: 9th June 2017
Lovely stay despite very wet weather. Caravan was immaculate :) friendly staff and nice food in restaurant (tho a bit pricey) only negative I have is having to wait for a changing room after my swim with my toddler and 2 month old once the session ended and we had to leave the pool. Could benefit from more changing rooms but apart from that me and my family had a lovely stay.
David, Rotherham
Date of stay: 2nd June 2017
Simply brilliant so relaxing in a superb location
Joan, Bolton
Date of stay: 26th May 2017
The lodge was lovely, very comfortable, just had one or two issues, not really complaints, just small suggestions that would make a difference. A stool at the mirror in the master bedroom would be good, the taps in the bathroom were stiff and we couldn't turn them off with wet hands & had to use a towel each time, a small table with a lamp would be better in the lounge than having to have the main lights on in the evening, little improvements, which, had they been ok, would have scored a 10.
David, Boston Lincs
Date of stay: 19th May 2017
We had no hot water but reception were quick to try & rectify this, offering a alternative caravan for a shower & partial holiday refund

Gabrielle, Se London
Date of stay: 17th March 2017
The chapelhouse lodge was lovely and was obviously very new. It sleeps 6 and it was just 2 adults and a toddler so there was plenty of room for us but I would think 6 people would be cramped especially in the bedrooms. The open plan living area was quite big so I think with 6 people it would be adequate. There was a small veranda with outdoor furniture which we didn't use as we stayed in March but I'm not sure that there would be much room to use it in warmer weather. There was a small dishwasher and an en suite in the double bedroom neither of which we were expecting but were nice touches (a few dishwasher tablets would have been a nice touch). In the lodge most equipment which you'd expect was present but I think bins in the bathrooms would be appropriate and some baking trays for the oven would be helpful. We were worried we'd stain the lovely unvarnished oak table but we couldn't find any placemats or coasters anywhere which we thought was odd. Maybe an inventory list for the kitchen would be helpful as we didn't know if the things mentioned were meant to be there and a welcome booklet/folder with all the site facilities and opening times, maybe a checklist for checking out etc could be left for anyone staying there.
The site is located right on the shore of the lake so it's nice to walk there and have a look although I don't think there are any public footpaths that it links up with. The main facilities seemed far too small for the number of lodges and caravans. Maybe the site has been extended and the facilities have stayed the same. The (indoor) swimming pool was freezing cold. Our 16 month old was shivering after 10 minutes in there and his lips were turning blue. We tried going again later on during our stay and at a different time of day but it was just the same. The pool is only open 10am-noon then 2pm-5pm which doesn't seem long enough especially as it's so small. It must be really busy in the summer especially when it's a typical British summer! We can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't use it. It looked clean and the menu was quite like a typical pub chain with lots of choice.
The location is good with Windermere a 5 min drive in one direction and Ambleside 5 min in the other direction. It is a good base for exploring the southern lakes and not too far to get to the northern lakes either.
Overall we were happy with the lodge - it was at the standard we're used to staying at - and its location but the swimming pool was a major let down. We wanted to be able to do some exploring/sight seeing in the lake district but then come back and take our toddler swimming in the pool in the afternoon as it can be boring for them otherwise.
Neil, Peterborough
Date of stay: 17th March 2017
The lodge was called a different name (Skiptory Howe) and there seemed to be a couple of items that were in the write up that were missing from the accommodation.

IPod docking station
TV in double bedroom
Dishwasher

But on the whole were happy with the lodge
Philip, Chorley
Date of stay: 10th March 2017
The caravan was comfy and clean, even though we had one that we could take our dog into, we have in some sites not had the best because we had the dog with us.

Lisa
A lovely holiday park ideally situated for. Suiting Windermere and Ambleside.
Claire
We booked this for my birthday weekend. We had a lovely time. Weather was fab, good location. Very clean & nicely kept park and good amenities for the children. Cabin was lovely & warm on our arrival & we had plenty of towels. Even a dishwasher! The club house was & toilets were also very nice & clean. My only issue is that the cabin we stayed in needed a paint job, but I do understand that parks take a lot of maintenance. Would definitely return. Thank you.
Heather
Clean and well presented cabin. Good amenities and great location
