The Waistell Family
We spend 4 night here in April. the weather could have been better but we still made good use of the hot tub and our children had plenty of space to play with the football outside. The bar in the golf club does really nice food and the view of the golf course is amazing. we saw deer running over the course while we were enjoying a drink in the bar. We also spotted woodpeckers, rabbits, hares and even an owl. We went in to Beverly and the market is good selling everything you could think of. The site is very quiet, no entertianment of play area but a good choice for anyone looking to relax. More suited to couples and groups of friends than families really.
HANNAH THOMAS, SWANSEA
We came here in a big group to celebrate a friends birthday and we all had a blast. Stunning does not come close when describing the lodges. they have been really well thought out to offer every thing you need from the hot tub to the cooking utensils. The master bedroom overlooking the golf course was out of this world. We ate in the bar in the golf club a few times and the food was always goo and we thought quite good value. The had cut chips are yummy. The site is very quiet and small and they are in the process of building a crazy golf area and games room although they looked a long way from being finished.
Mrs & Mrs Jones
Beautiful, stunning, amazing!!! Gorgeous lodge, we made full use of the hot tub it was brilliant. We went for a break that we planned on being pure total relaxation and it definately was. Peaceful, with fantastic scenery and the Glasshouse bar and resturant, really trendy and staff extremely friendly. Will most certainly return here.

Date of stay: 6th April 2018
Excellent accomodation, well furnished and maintained. Fabulous views across the golf course. Gorgeous comfy seating, great for curling up and watching DVDs on the large wall-mounted TV on wet weather days. Each bedroom is ensuite, each with a wetroom style shower area and a separate tub in the master suite. The beds are very comfortable with slippers and robes supplied in the master suite upstairs. Plenty of storage, with plug sockets and mirrors just where you need them. Made use of the hot-tub on several of the evenings of our stay and everything you could need is supplied in the kitchen area, with a full sized fridge freezer too. Even used the washer/dryer which helped reduce the work when we unpacked at home!

The York Deluxe Lodge , While the lodge was comfortable and clean and we had a wonderful holiday, they are very expensive, some of the furniture is showing signs of their age.

Date of stay: 6th October 2017
We stayed in the York lodge, number 10. It is a lovely lodge but has a massive drainage problem. The water in the shower comes up past your ankles and a constant drain smell in the downstairs bathroom. A few things need to be fixed ie, tiles screwed on, flooring, holes in walls etc but overall a very nice lodge.
Alice, Lincoln

Jacqueline, Lancashire
Date of stay: 23rd June 2017
The lodge was lovely and despite being on the entrance road it was very quiet. We had booked a standard lodge and were given an upgrade on arrival to a deluxe unit. For the price we paid it was excellent but had we paid the normal full rate we would not have expected torn wallpaper in the lounge, a large crack in the floor tiles in the upstairs bathroom, a curtain rail in the main bedroom that had been badly fitted and was coming away, side of the cabinet holding the basin in the main bedroom bathroom damaged by water and coming away, holes in the twin upstairs bedroom ceiling where new screws had been put in and not finished off with any plaster and a dining room chair that had been badly damaged and not replaced. Lots o minor things you would not expect in a lodge demanding such a high price
Charlotte, Preston
Date of stay: 9th June 2017
Lodge was lovely however there were some areas of damage that needed a quick touch up.
Marie, Wigan
Date of stay: 2nd June 2017
Amazing lodge, 3 spacious bedrooms, all ensuite, great view from master bedroom, hot tub was fabulous.
Wesley, Reading
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
The lodges were spotless, modern and comfortable. All necessary facilities were available, dish washer, washing machine etc. The rooms even had electric blinds which was a great touch.

Only negatives I had relate to the hot tub, which wasn't the best I've used in accommodation such as this. Also we suffered a couple of power cuts during our stay that was widespread amongst all of the lodges, which after spending such an amount on accommodation I would have thought there would be a back up generator running.
Robert
Date of stay: 26th May 2017

Date of stay: 10th May 2017
The lodge we stayed at was perfect. Nice, warm & clean. Everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed the hot tub and even though the lodges were close to each other, ours was on the far end so we did have enough privacy. Also there were a lot of golfers passing by, but that is expected with the golf course nearby. It was really nice to find a loaf of bread in the kitchen for us, as well as tea & coffee. Will be returning again.
Mandy, Middlesbrough
Date of stay: 8th May 2017
We all had a fantastic time and found it value for money especially the girls night in. Only thing I would have to say on the down side that there should be six dressing gowns for use in the hot tub.
Jamie-leigh, Leeds
Date of stay: 5th May 2017
The staff are amazing, the restaurant & location was beautiful and the lodge was out of this world. The perfect break!!
The only thing I can comment is; the lodge we stayed in specifically needed a really good thorough clean (to my standard) and quite a bit of maintenance needed doing within the lodge. Overall, Fabulous holiday and the restaurant food was out of this world! Can't wait to book again.
Leeanne, Middlesbrough
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
Lodge was fantastic.... had everything you needed. Very clean. Very comfortable bed
Janice, Rotherham
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
The lodge had some problems when we arrived. These were dealt with quickly but there was a worry with the main bedroom window. This is like a long door and apparently should open at the top and lean back. I went into the bedroom on arrival and the door opened fully, I almost fell out and had to stop myself. When I reported it to the office, a member of staff was heard to say they knew about it, no one had warned me when I booked in. other than that there were no problems and the site is lovely, we had beautiful views and a nice meal in the restaurant.
Stephen, Stafford
Date of stay: 21st April 2017
Excellent accommodation. Could do with some new dining chairs but that's a minor point.
Samantha, Staffordshire
Date of stay: 17th April 2017
At nearly £1200 for 4 days bearing in mind you can't check in til 3pm first day and have to be out by 10am last day it's not a cheap vacation. So unless your a golfer or gym enthusiast there's nothing else to do on site ( we were a party of 4 adults and 5 children).
There was a wedding on the weekend we were there and it's safe to say that we didn't expect the noise and disruption so late at night on a site like that.
That said the lodges were lovely and modern , very clean and staff were really helpful.
Robin, Welwyn Garden City
Date of stay: 7th April 2017

Date of stay: 14th October 2016
the outside furniture was dirty as well as the lodge looked like the rug not been hoovered and the bathroom sink had toothpaste on the side...
Sallianne, Sheffield
Date of stay: 10th October 2016
Had a lovely weekend away. Only problem was a blocked shower that flooded, despite reporting it nobody came to fix it during our stay so we had to stop using it. It would have been better if it had been attended to so we were up to full compliment of bathrooms.

Peaceful location. Great lodge, if a bit expensive. Hot tub not private enough.
Thomas, Hexham
Date of stay: 16th September 2016
The Lodge was excellent, roomy and comfortable. I Have two criticism - The screening around the Hot Tub was a little inadequate, and the equipment in the kitchen i.e. Pans etc was totally inadequate, not everyone eats out all the time so a decent supply of pans would be appreciated.
That said, the holiday was greatly enjoyed.
Anthony, Stalbridge Sturminster Newton Dorset
Date of stay: 16th September 2016
Pocklington lodges are clean and well equipped location is great. Box health club was a great bonus a swimming pool would be a great addition. Hot tub was fantastic. Railings and a small gate around the decking would be a plus as we had 2 small dogs and had to watch they did not run onto the golf course. Would definitely stay at kp again.
Pauline, Truro
Date of stay: 26th August 2016

Luxurious lodges. Very comfortable and very well equipped. However there is nothing on site for children. More of a destination for romantic couples or golf enthusiasts.
Michael
Date of stay: 1st August 2016
Stayed in deluxe lodge which was clean, roomy and very nice, no issues at all with the lodge. Great outside area for the kids to play badminton and tennis,

Staff on reception were friendly and helpful, staff in the golf pro shop were out of this world and went out of their way to assist, I cannot praise them enough.

The only down side of our holiday was the service at the glass house restaurant, we ate there twice and the food was great, reasonably priced but the service was awful, starters, coffee and drinks missing from our orders and staff really couldn't be bothered with the customers which is a real shame, they made us feel like we weren't welcome, we were charged for items not ordered and when we challenged the bill we were made to feel we were in the wrong when we weren't.

All in all a great venue for a holiday, could be made better with different staff at the restaurant.
Garry, Barrow In Furness

Surprised how much room there was but could do with freshening up the decor by painting hallways etc
Paul, Middlesbrough

Date of stay: 22nd July 2016
A beautiful lodge, well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The sheets weren't changed during our stay which was disappointing as we were there for the unexpected heat wave!
Also, due to said heat wave a fan would have been greatly appreciated although understandbly the weather was unprecedented.
Deborah, Hartlepool
Date of stay: 18th July 2016
Dust on bedroom side tables and shelf in master bedroom. Blinds could do with a good clean especially in master bedroom. Shelves missing in fridge and outdoor furniture good do with replacing. Lodge 3.

My rating is for the York Deluxe lodge as we were given an upgrade on arrival, great touch and was much appreciated, We have stayed in a few log cabins but this was by far the best, hopefully we will be back soon.
Jane, Portsmouth
Date of stay: 20th June 2016
They provide 3 bins in the lodge to seperate your rubbish, but when you take it to the refuse bins, there is no segregation so why bother.
Things to take with you or buy, bin liners, salt and pepper & Extra toilet rolls.

William, Leicester
Date of stay: 6th May 2016
very nice cabin / location, sadly a few minor maintenence niggles and, shortfalls in the kitchen equipment let it down.

For such an expensive location it needs to be 100% spot on to satisfy, sadly this was not the case.

Other points to note :- most cabins quite a walk from the car parking spaces, limited privacy in the cabins - if you like feeling like you are in a goldfish bowl you will love this place.

We did not try the restaurant, although we did have a couple of (very expensive) drinks from the bar on the last night.

I summary, great location - especially if you like golf, lovely cabins with good comfy beds, locality is amazing for walking, cycling and, exploring unspoilt villages. lodges reasonably well equipped (they obviously don't expect people to cook), the facilities look great but getting access to them seemed complicated so we didn't bother. Check in / out was fairly simple however the late check in was a disappointing start to our break. Given the late check in and, early check out it was not really a 5 day break. We would like to return to the area however, given the costs I do not think we will use KP lodges next time.
Vicky, Spennymoor
Date of stay: 25th April 2016
Good time for either groups of friends, couples or families. Half hour ride into York centre and not far from designer outlet. Lodges are superb, we'll worth a stay.
Iain, Innerleithen
Date of stay: 22nd April 2016
Better cooking equipment would have been nice - very limited and non-stick pots were all scored, handles loose, doors & drawers not shutting properly in kitchen.
Great big light space. Lots of room to move about & have your own area. Rooms good size. Beds comfortable. Showers really good with good water pressure throughout.

Date of stay: 18th March 2016
We had a problem with our electrics in the lodge but the staff were really nice and helpful. The hot tub was amazing but open to the passing golfers not very private.
The lodge was amazing, clean and as new. Oh I must mention, we were advised by the staff to go into poklington ang get some. After asking for toilet roll, you get one per bathroom then you need to go shopping, never ever done this before, that's my number 1 tip or no 2.

Beautiful lodge & facilities! Staff came to lodge to ensure all was ok & to let us know one of the bedroom blinds was broken but shut & they were awaiting a part, it was actually half open & let light through but we never reported it so shouldn't complain. A girls weekend & hottub was fab overlooking woods, definitely visit again! Restaurant good too!

Had a fantastic time, lovely lodge very clean and comfortable, lovely bar and restaurant, staff very friendly. All in all had a fantastic time, our only complaint there was only two dressing gowns, as it was 8 girls staying we all would of liked one! But that was only our complaint!

The good points:
The lodge was lovely, very spacious and comfortable.
There was plenty of bathrooms and cupboard space.
On arrival it looked fabulous.
The hottub was amazing.

The bad points:
Kitchen work tops were covered with dried on food.
The showers had mould and mildew all over.
There was stains on some of the bedding.
The sofa hadn't been moved to clean under so we found dirt, food, pencils and other debris when we moved it.
The general wear and tear of the lodge wasn't upto much as there was alot of cosmetic damage to most of the fixtures and fittings.

My partner and I had a really nice relaxing week away in the York Lodge at the KP Resort. The lodge itself was immaculate and really modern. The hot tub was a great added bonus. The location is set on a beautiful quiet golf course which is still close enough for days out. All locations we visited were less than an hours drive.
Clare, West Yorkshire
Date of stay: 14th September 2015
We have come back from what was the 4th time we stayed at kp m, previously twice in York lodge and last year and this visit in the deluxe lodge number 12 we requested number 12 purposely as it was so perfect last year, we love it. Although there were a few issues this time that were dealt with by the management whilst there. Firstly we checked in an hour early which was fab making the most of our girly weekend away but unfortunately the hot tub was not "hot, we were told it would be ready in a "couple"of hours but still at 6pm it was not warm again came and tried to rectify it was found one of the main switches was not on finally hot at 8pm after a 5 hour wait!! Compensated with two bottles of prosecco for the inconvenience, greatly appreciated. Saturday morning we had water pouring from the ceiling through the fire detector, into the kitchen from a blocked shower, they came and fixed it Saturday evening. Other little things like not enough crockery only 7 cups for 8 bedded lodge we phoned reception for another 1/2 hour later still no cup, had to phone again but by then we had finished breakfast and washed one out for someone else to use. The lodges are amazing but feel the deluxe are looking and feeling a little more shabby than deluxe, especially in comparison to last year, dirty walls, mouldy grout in bathrooms, blocked drains, kitchen sink that leaked and wouldn't hold wster, stained carpets, filthy Windows, carpet coming away from grippers, lodge was full of spiders not just a couple but loads of longed legged hairy little buggers that weren't just there for the weekend!!!, kitchen appliances were falling apart we put the drier on but had to turn off as smelt like it was about to explode! The fridge trays were all cracked.... for nearly £1000 for a weekend it should be still in deluxe condition! We haven't let it put us off though we will be back again and booked for next year but we will "down grade" would rather put the £200 difference between a York lodge and a York deluxe lodge to better use. We feel they have expanded but clearly don't have the staff/ time to keep up to the amount of lodges they have. Which is a shame they are in a beautiful location and the lodges are fab just a few little tweaks needed to get back to where they were previous years.

Our lodge was lovely. Enough space for us all and all the facilities you would need. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and nice to see its levels checked by staff during our stay too. Had enough towels and nice to have two dressing gowns and slippers too. Very clean and any minor issues we had were sorted straight away (broken door handle which happened by accident and one tv messing about) we will definitely be re visiting and felt very much at home and safe here with our children playing right outside our lodge too.

Even though three generations were holidaying together there was plenty of space for us. My son and husbanded loved the gym and the relaxation area. We all enjoyed the hot tub and excellent way to unwind after a days sight seeing. It was lovely to relax out doors at the glass house whilst my Grandson played in the play area. We found the staff very helpful and we received a very warm welcome on arrival. We were discussing the electronic door system in the new lodges and highlighted we had a two year old staying with us with immediate effect they fitted a safety catch to the front door for extra safety. We stayed for a week in one of the deluxe lodges we all wished we were staying longer we will definitely be planning a return trip.

A really lovely lodge (nr24) in lovely countryside.Excellent food in the restaurant.Reasonable distance to the coast, York and the moors. Town of Pocklington good. Station Hotel good for food, but do not recommend The Cross Keys for food but OK for a drink. Not being a golfer I cannot comment on the course, but from what I saw it was very well maintained on a daily basis.
Karen

There were quite a few cobwebs in all of the rooms which I thought was unacceptable and I thought it was quite cheeky to ask us to strip our own beds considering the prices we are paying and it being an upmarket location.

Date of stay: 10th July 2015
Excellent lodge, very modern interior and new. Good sized bedrooms with stunning views from main one and nice en-suites.
Hot tub was nice but small, we struggled to get 4 people in so for an 8 people lodge it was far too small. It was half covered so with the drizzly rain and wind we had you got wet or a draught so with an option of covering or sheltering it more would be an improvement.
Kitchen appliances were good, plenty of plates, cups and utensils etc.

Pocklington Lodge was lovely. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lodge was modern and luxurious. Our particular lodge was facing the golf course and our only slight niggle was it would of been nice to have the hot tub shielded a bit more as every golfer walking past could see you getting in and out. We had an amazing time here, it was very relaxing and quiet and only a short drive into York to do a bit of shopping and sightseeing. The restaurant on site was also very nice, food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and quick to serve. Some of our party have already looked at booking again.

The lodge had everything you could need & was very clean on arrival. The only thing I would change was the amount of decking around the property, there wasn't enough in terms of the number of people (8) to be able to all sit out together. Overall, fantastic break in the perfect surroundings.
Steve, Godmanchester
Date of stay: 6th April 2015
Our lodge was amazing, felt brand new, beautifully appointed, very clean and very stylish. The staff were brilliant and very friendly, booking in and out was easy and quick.
The site is lovely and restaurant and bar nice for an evening drink, great views from the outside seating.
Location for York is perfect, I recommend using the park and ride though, it is on the way in and the buses are every 15 minutes. A quarter the price of parking in York centre which is very expensive and always crammed.
Also worth a walk down the the World Peace cafe, lovely walk which leads to old church and river and a lovely cafe.

The kitchen units looked like they had suffered water damage as clearly the floor which was was warped and did not fit correctly. The bathroom had finishing fittings missing and several doors did not fit correctly meaning they would not open or close properly. The location was lovely and the views of the course we're great. Fix the flooring issues and a ten would be given.

Lodges are fantastic, so well equipped and clean, reported a couple of issues sadly these were never dealt with so poor customer service although they didn't ruin our holiday but made it a bit awkward at times. Location overlooking the golf course is fab. Lovely to relax though if you have a noisy group next to you like we did it will limit your use of the hot tub if you just want to chill and enjoy the peace you might struggle.

The lodge was huge, and luxurious. The only downside was that both of the showers did not have good drainage, so would flood quite easily. We did report this but I think it was overlooked so no one came to check it out. It would not stop me from going there again though. Just a tiny downside.

We LOVED the York Lodge! We had an unparalleled view over the golf course as we were situated at the front of the park. Number 5 even had it's own driveway which could fit 3 cars on it which was very convenient. The hot tubs were delightful! We had so much fun in them. The facilities in the kitchen were fantastic and the living room was so spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the upstairs bathroom didn't have a shower over the bath. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely be returning!

Holiday would have been perfect but the hot tub could not be used on the first evening as it was not warm enough, this ruined our evening as we had to keep trying to get this sorted. Staff agreed to refund the first nights stay due to the problems we had but said this would be returned to my account later. This was not done and instead I received a 20% discount off a future stay.

Arrived early and was allowed to check in straight away, check in was quick and easy. The log cabin was spotless, stayed in the york delux lodge with 4 bedrooms it was very spacious and has been done to a very high standard, the hot tub was great, it was very warm and really nice when the weather was so cold. We stayed over Christmas so it was quiet expensive but well worth the money, it really made our Christmas. It is only 40 minutes away from Bridlington and a little further to Scarborough so a reAlly good location and Pocklington is a really nice place with quiet a few pubs and places to eat. Would defiantly recommend this log cabin.

Beautifully furnished lodge. The only downside was the hot tub. I've stayed in numerous lodges and the hot tub at KP was the size of one that you would normally find in a 2 person lodge - it couldn't fit 8 people in.

Generally very clean, but there was a 'massive/very obvious cobweb' from the main dining room table light to the ceiling. I really don't know how the cleaner missed it.
Hot tub wasn't filled, by the time we realised it was too late to use that night. Not great when on a 3 night break and the hot tub was supposed to be an integral part of booking KP.

Every thing was lovely however we had a couple of problems with the hot tub not being clean, but when I reported it at 9pm a young man came and emptied and cleaned it, fine after that.
We also reported a leak in the ceiling from the main shower on the second day, the same young man looked at that as no one had come to see it and it was fixed the next day!

A wee freshen up lick of paint in the lodges would make them perfect, they are stunning, loads of space & have everything you could want! Hot tub in our lodge was gr8 but in some other lodges they were quite small.

The on suite shower, leaked through the kitchen ceiling, though reported to the staff, we were not kept informed on repairs

Few extras like a pair of oven gloves in the accommodation would be helpful

The Lodge was beautiful and very nicely done out with modern furniture, we will certainly be back again and have already recommended it to others.

We reported on our first morning that there were no keys to open a bedroom door & therefore no ventilation. 2 or 3 of the internal doors did not stay closed either. Luxury price but not luxury fixtures!

The lodge was very comfortable. The only issue we had was with the heating but once we worked out how to switch it off it was fine. It would have been helpful to have been able to fit a stair gate at the top of the stairs but we managed fine. The furniture is quite flimsy which could mean it won't age well with use but I guess they can replace it!

Outstanding lodge with excellent facilities. We loved our week here, and would definitely return. The hot tub was one of our highlights. All the rooms are of a good size and equipped to a high standard.

Gorgeous lodge, loved it however a few things broken on arrival such as pictures and blinds in the bedrooms.

A fantastic lodge - the best facilities we've had in a lodge. The lodges are really spacious and comfortable. We particularly loved the bedroom view over the golf course.

Dissapointed we could go in the lodge until 4pm when we had to depart at 10am. An improvemnet could be made to allow people to go in the lodge at 2pm latest.

Needs blinds updating as they were broken and falling off the wall in Lodge 4.

Also no cushions on the outside furniture.

Outside the lodge was very dark , could do with additional lighting.

The lodge was fantastic and kitted out very well - don't think they hadn't thought of anything. We went with friends for a chill out weekend and that's what we did. The hot tub was one of the best we've used, and was cleaned daily. There's not a lot to do around the site - but that's what we wanted - to do nothing! We walked to the Buddhist centre for some fresh air ...and then back to the hot tub!

Was a great lodge with a very good Hot Tub and the surroundings are superb. The only problem really was just a few little niggly things to do with decoration and the blinds were temperamental but not that it would put you off going back!

The only fault was that the hot tub wasn't big enough
The lodge was a 4 bed which slept 8 people and there
Was no way that 8 adults would get in that size of hut tub
Was a disappointment for us we couldn't even fit 6 of us in

In our opinion and due to the fact my husbands 40th meal was spoilt, we feel the standard if food lets down a place which is exquisite and a luxury modern hide away

We had a lovely break , the cabins are fantastic with lovey interiors, situated in a lovely area .
Maureen
Very high standard accommodation, great hot tub, excellent meal in the glass house.

Looking for a quiet break out of the way, just wanted to relax. It was perfect! Lodge was 1st class, 4 bedrooms and a huge hot tub! Plenty to do if you were looking for an active holiday, with gym, walks, golf and amenities all close by
Kirsty
Had a lovely time at the lodges. This is now my 8th visit! Its brill weekend away with the girls or family. Lovely staff. Thanks
Marilyn
The KP resort is a wonderful quite but very scenic place, we rented a large Lodge with a hot tub with our family to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we contacted the KP club and arranged a celebration buffet in the upstairs restaurant the buffet was beautiful I couldn't fault anything, the chef and staff were brilliant.
Gaynor
Lovely lodges would definitely recommend it. Only one comment lodge is ready for a refurb and we like to cook so not enough kitchen utensils and crockery / serving dishes but other than that great lodge with a spotlessly clean hot tub
Janet
Lovely place and beautiful lodge only slight thing was do not feel the bedrooms had been thoroughly cleaned had to Hoover it when we arrived but still had a lovely time x
Sinead
