Kilnwick Percy Resort Reviews

"Great location for visiting the local area and attractions. Our second visit to this site for the golf. The lodge itself is spacious but would benefit from an upgrade as it is beginning to look well used. Despite the lodge being clean it seemed to have an odour I couldnt place, which gave me a headache after a while. I would have liked some sort of fireplace as a focal point as it didnt feel cosy especially this time of year. Whilst most people on this site were relaxing with friends and family and some were celebrating which is lovely. We didnt appreciate being woken up from our slumber by the fireworks set off at 3 am in the morning. All that said still a great golf course and place to visit."
Karen - Oct 2025
"The lodges are well equipped and clean. The hot tub area could do with making a little more private by simply joining the wooden screens and what also would make it a little better is if there was a fenced off area around the lodge so that your dog could be allowed to come outside without having to be either on a lead or tied to the lodge by a hook."
Courtney - Oct 2025
"Again I said location great but lodge to a poor standard. Its a shame as setting fantastic. Would like to return but not if lodges are in poor quality."
Jayne - Sep 2025
"As others have previously said, the lodges are in need of a refresh. Having been before we have noticed areas where cutbacks have been made. We were in a deluxe lodge as previous but would not class it as deluxe and would go as far as saying we felt we had been put in the wrong lodge to what we had booked Having said that it hasnt put us off returning, especially if the lodges get a bit of a refresh and it is a lovely area."
Adele - Sep 2025
"Our Kilnwick Percy Resort review: Fabulous lodge. Beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again."
Michelle - Sep 2025
"Lodge was a bit dated. Heating was constantly on even though we had maintenance have a look at it, we had to get fans to try and keep cool. The hot tub had no power from the jets. The golf course was nice and restaurant food was good with friendly staff."
Mike - Sep 2025
"Lodges are so nice and spacious and clean"
Tracy - Aug 2025
"On the whole the lodge was very spacious and perfect for a whole family. The only negative we had was the lodge needed a few minor maintenance upgrades such as the door holder in the fridge was broken so we couldn't use it, the vanity in one of the bathrooms was peeling and needed replacing and one of the blinds in the living room area wasn't working. There was also a very strong smell of drains in the bathrooms when we arrived but this was reported and rectified."
Trina - Jul 2025
"Beds were very strong and comfortable, but living room sofa needs new pillows.Entrance door and main bedroom facing towards golf club handles were not strong.Rooms are good size and kitchen has all necessary equipments."
Shital - Jul 2025
"Lodge stank, very dirty, not private at all, resident don't follow simple rules, 4 o'clock check in is shocking. Not our first visit here but will be our last"
Darren - Jul 2025
"Clean Lodge. Sofa and bath a little style over substance"
Phil - Jul 2025
"Very comfortable and clean. Spacious lodges"
Julie - Jul 2025
"Showers grubby, hot tub cover a disgrace,"
Chris - Jun 2025
"The site its self is very well kept however the Delux lodge needs a lot attention the maintenance side lets them down. From unfinished patched up work on the ceilings to leaking showers with water spraying all over the ceiling causing paint to peal.Cupboard doors not alined properly and the dishwasher door would just drop down very fast causing it to be unsafe. The fire door on master bedroom was missing the fire seal.Staff all very nice and friendly. We would not recommend to friends and family. If a little money was spend on the lodges it would be the perfect place. We stayed in lodge 16"
David - Jun 2025
"Loved it, might need fans provided if it gets any hotter ????"
Stuart - Jun 2025
"Had a lovely time visting York City, enjoyed the countryside and the Lodge hottub. Lovely area and peaceful setting"
Susan - Jun 2025
"Excellent lodges and well placed for the east coast and beyond. Staff very friendly and will solve any problem. Cant wait to go back. Lodges are spacious and clean and have everything you need, dishwasher and washing machine which come in very handy."
Paul - May 2025
"Lovely pleasant welcome on arrival. We stayed at lodge 23 overlooking a nice par 3.Really well set out and well equipped great information guide and everything was sign posted around the resort itself.A few minor areas that could do with a touch up but in all honestly most peoples homes have these little tweaks that we all do when we can. Would it make me mark the resort down because of it absolutely not!We loved it, kids loved it and the dog loved it. Really enjoyed our weekend stay with you guys.Food at the restaurant was good. Golf club food, reasonable prices and the lady who served us (dark haired, sorry I didnt get your name) was brilliant. It was really busy and she never missed a beat. 5 stars for her alone! We took a walk in to town one day (30 mins) great shops, bars hand had a lovely Indian before getting an Uber (only £5) back to the Lodge."
Tom - May 2025
"Large and modern lodges, nicely situated in the countryside."
Steven - May 2025
"Lovely spacious lodge in beautiful surroundings. Lodges are private and have all that you need. The interior is a little tired but it didnt affect our break. For future guests, take extra toilet rolls and hand soap. Also, be aware that some glass doors leading to the patio/hot tub do not have warning stickers and pose a risk of people walking into them.Overall, we would return."
Claire - May 2025
"Lovely stay, peaceful and relaxing. Really nice accommodation. Kitchen slightly lets it down and remember to bring your own dishwasher tablets. Hob/ oven slow to cook/ heat . Utensil blunt and not surplus plates/glasses etc"
Katie - May 2025
"Almost everything was in working order minus the dishwasher leaked but speaking to reception they were sending someone to take a look but we wasnt fussed as just as quick to use the sink."
Joanne - Apr 2025
"Had a great time, everything you need to get there and relax"
Sarah - Apr 2025
"Great relaxing break, very good accommodation in the lodges, they're just in need of a fair bit of upkeep and ongoing maintenance / TLC. Main problems were people parking on our allocated spaces, as our lodge was next to a hotel lodge and I don't believe they come with parking except in the main golf course car park. The kitchen area was a little worn and missing a few utensils like scissors. And only one small bar of soap provided despite the lodge having 3 bathrooms. I think they just need a really good refresh but otherwise perfectly livable for a week's break and we'll probably book again"
Alex - Apr 2025
"Great holiday great place great golf coarse"
Victoria - Apr 2025
"Lodge just needs a bit of updating and refreshing but overall had a lovely stay in a beautiful location."
Kirsten - Apr 2025
"The lodge was nice however the bath was way to small and only two bathrooms had showers both had mould one on the ceiling and the other on the tiles really showing wear. The bedrooms were really comfortable and beds amazing again general wear and tear in living area all ceilings and furniture looking worn and marked. Please update things we love it here but if the lodges keep getting worse we wont visit anymore not for the cost they are"
Lisa - Apr 2025
"Needs some refurbing. Not what I would call luxury."
Kathryn - Mar 2025
"Just the broken blind and leather sofa for us!"
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"All good ???? nice and quite and relaxing great place to unwind looking forward to rebooking in the future"
Richard - Mar 2025
"Lovely place to stay, the lodges are perfect and clean we had our own parking places which made unpacking easier. The hot tub was lovely and we had plenty of privacy! The beds were very hard but I’m used to memory foam so anything else would be. The restaurant was nice and sat outside looking at the view of the golf course was stunning. I would definitely stay here again."
Kerry - Jul 2022
"Beautiful location with stunning views."
Pauline - Jul 2022
"Lovely accommodation- very clean, modern and well equipped. A nice holiday park with some facilities on site but also close enough to towns to spend days away."
Rhona - Jul 2022
"Fabulous break with friends. Staff friendly and attentive, accommodation lovely and clean (could just do with soap and a hand towel in each bathroom) views were amazing, facial was fantastic and afternoon tea was delicious!!"
Lyndsey - Jul 2022
"We stayed at this resort Monday to Friday. It was a fantastic and beautiful resort and we will definitely be back. Staff were lovely and friendly. We had a warm welcoming and Ken who was the on-site security popped around the site each evening checking everything was okay. He was very kind and helpful. The only downsides were not being able to use the hot tub after 11pm and not having an enclosed area for dogs meaning they were constantly on long lines. Over all, definitely recommend this resort."
Megan - Jul 2022
"We had a wonderful weekend with family for a wedding which was just great. Staff helpful and friendly. We were aware that the lodge is to be refurbished. It is expensive though."
Eileen - Jul 2022
"Excellent resort and loved our stay. Only downside was restaurant, which was hard to get into and when we finally did the food was poor. However, overall experience was fabulous and we will definitely go back"
Jane - Jul 2022
"Amazing place, enjoyed every single moment and was worth it"
Memory - Jul 2022
"Excellent lodge and surroundings"
